Yes, i have four Hue taps and two dimmers and i really need them.

I'm not going to control my lights by grabbing my phone everytime.

It's sad because i used the Hue VD in HC2 to see if someone opens my slidinggate and a lot of other stuff i could see wich color the bulbs had.

 

Maybe you can explain me a little bit more about touchlink because i don't understand what to do.

Well "touch link" is a little secret so not weird at all that you don't find anything about this.

 

In a nutshell, it is something built into some controllers, which "grabs (links) a nearby device" - hence the two parts of the name "touch" and "link".

 

I am 100% sure, a TRADFRI remote can be linked to HC3 then can "grab" a lamp so to speak. Both the lamp and the controller will be part of the HC3 ZigBee network, and the remote controls the lamp, the lamp reports status to HC3 and HC3 can control the lamp as well... BTW you start by joining the remote to the HC3. If you forget this, the remote and lamp will seem connected, but cannot be made part of any other ZigBee network.

 

I am 100% sure the HUE remote can touch link a device, and this youtube video shows you how it is done. You will, however, notice a slight deviation from my TRADFRI story... Here the lamp gets reset and becomes ready to join a network. The remote isn't part of a network yet, and the video does not show how to do that: 

 

 

 

 

IMHO and if my memory is correct, to make the remote part of the HC3 network you'd have to enable "add" on the HC3 then press a button on the back of the remote for 10-15 seconds... I have done this in the past but with different coordinator(s). The Zigbee2MQTT site seems to agree with me:

 

Factory reset the Hue dimmer switch by pressing and holding the setup button on the back for 10 seconds.

Restart the Hue dimmer switch by holding all 4 buttons of the Hue dimmer switch. You can let go when the light on the front flashes red/green briefly.

 

Now the part I an only 10% confident about............ I don't remember if, after joining the remotem the "touch link" will at the same time (1) join the light bulb to the HC3 (2) create a group or device scene on that remote, to steer the light bulb.

 

I am not sure, but I think, unlike the TRADFRI remote, part (2) does not work so you don't get direct control of the bulb through the remote.

 

To be tested....... By someone.... Because I do not have a spare bulb at the moment.

 

EDIT: YES it is a security hole. But not a big one. If I know where you live, I can park in front of your house with my IKEA remote, long press the link button, and virtually STEAL your bulbs. I seem to remember, this has happened in apartment blocks, people accidentally resetting their neighbors' bulbs :)

To be tested....

My biggest concern is the Hue tap wich has four buttons and works by kinectic energy.

I really need these things since almost my whole house is Hue.

I can't find any information about the Hue tap and touchlink so i'm afraid it doens't work but i will test it.

You never know.

Currently lighting and sensors (any type) are supported and as far as I see almost all brands  supported ( Zigbee has a standard protocol for them that implemented by Fibaro in HC3)

For example no Zigbee remote controllers (keyFobs) supported yet...

Sonoff ZBMINI (chip ESP-8285), added as binary switch (parent and child), works correctly.

HUE Bulb is working perfectly via ZigBee, but the brightness of the bulb is not as high as via HUE App even if the slider is at 100%.

Anyone else experiencing this?

: 64 directly connected devices to coordinator (HC3). If you wish more devices in your network, you have to have add some devices with router functionality (which extends the network each time by the devices added via router)

i have OSRAM SMART+ LED Stripe its working and ikea trådfri e14 400 lumen

And ikea Led power supply Model icpshc24-10eu-il-1 only white and dim ?

Does anyone know how to activate the zigbee in the HC3?

 

When I want to add a new Philips Hue Lamp it is not found and times out after 3 minutes.

 

Fibaro manual is also not too clear!!!!!

 

Software version: 5.120.10

Could you share how to pair this one with Fibaro HC3? I just bought the device but still struggling with the pairing, nothing is found...

Edit: ok, tried couple of times and eventually it worked, very close to the HC3 unit. For others - you run the adding process on HC3 and push and keep the button on the device for 3-5 seconds until it starts blinking, then you release the button.
