Sprinklers set Mode or Delay when Rains

Question

Posted

Hello everyone!

I just setup a sprinkler system with 2 x 24v solenoid electrovalve and a Fibaro double smart module.

Everything works fine but I need to find a way to delay (24h) or disable sprinkler schedule if it rains. I couldn't find a z-wave soil moisture, so I am trying to use a a Flood Sensor and LUA to do the following:

- if the rain is detected then delay 24h or disable sprinkler schedule (set mode manual/disable or something like that) -> delay 24h -> enable sprinklers schedule (set mode auto).

I have experience with LUA, but I couldn't find a way to turn sprinkler schedule off/auto/manual/etc. I didn't find any documentation on that matter.

Is that something that can be done?

Thank you in advance!

Hi Fuser99,

I have this solution in place using a zWave RGB sensor and humidity sensor.

Please login or register to see this link.

You might need to use Google translate to translate from Dutch to your preferred language. I have it working on HC3.
