Force removal of device in HC3

nea

Question

Hi.

I have had some trouble with one of my motion sensors and I have replaced it. Now I’m having trouble removing the old sensor. HC3 is unwilling to remove the device. When I try to delete the device, HC3 asks to enter learning mode and to use exclusion on the device. HC3 exits immediately when the device enters exclusion mode and reports back that the device was successfully deleted. The device is still present.

I’ve rebooted HC3 several times, but with same result. The last thing I tried was to reset the motion sensor, no change.

I’ve now parked the device in to a hidden “DEFECT” room. Is it possible to delete the device in any other way in HC3?

@nea You can try removing the device manually.

Click in Show hidden to display the hidden devices.

Select the master of the device and click on its trash can (on the left of your picture).

Then the buggy device should disappear after a while.
