Increase range

PSi

Question

Hi,

I have several Elero rollers and Zigbee devices distributed across my house and some of them loose connectivity from time to time.

For Elero devices, it is sufficient to click on reconnect every few days on the dead devices.

Some of the Zigbee devices create more trouble because refreshing their status is challenging with the current implementation: try to remove and reassign is the only way (removing does not work for all, some zombies still in place)

How can I increase the range or reliability of connections to other devices of my HC3?

Because zigbee is a mesh network, have you tried adding an intermediate node (mains powered) between your HC3 and far away devices?

For now, I did not try this but alreadys condidered to do so.

Unfortuntely, this does not solve the Elero issue for me

I do not know how Elero networks are built, but in generally there should be repeater either built-in or as extra HW.

I'm afraid Fibaro cannot extend radio power for Elero because of EU and countries directives.

For Zigbee you should have some repeaters. Maybe some Zigbee wall plug. From my experience stuff from Aqara (Xiaomi) works fine.
