Energy Panel Config

Question

Posted

Hi All,

I have a SolarEdge and panels on the roof. I pull data about production through the SolarEdge QuickApp and it shows production just fine.

I do not have a central energy meter installed and would like to only measure energy use through one socket (WallPlug) compared to production on my SolarEdge.

Is that possible? Can you help me setting the panel up to do that? I want to set up monthly energy balance by collecting data from SolarEdge and Fibaro WallPlug so I've set up billing to monthly, energy costs, my PV cost, and the last bit I am not sure how to set up is the last screen 'energy meters'

Generally choosing one actor (in this case) as main energy meter is not possible.
It was not designed that way.

Only Energy Meters (com.fibaro.energyMeter) with rate type "consumption" can be selected there.

You can always create a QuickApp with type Energy Meter, pull in the code energy reported by the wallplug (from property "energy") and just put in property "value" of com.fibaro.energyMeter.
You can do it in a simple loop once per few minutes.

Other option is to disable all other actors from energy panel in every device advanced settings - this will be more time consuming.

Regards,
Michał

    Thanks, Michał, that sounds logical.

Is it possible to pull data from multiple wall plugs into that one QA?  I've no experience with LUA or QA as i just got HC3 after 6 years with HCL
