What is the difference between :

  • Roller Blind Mode, without positioning
  • Roller Blind Mode, with positioning

What is the question mark in the icon (Yubii) ? This is my first time seeing that.

excelent question, for sure is not type, movement or calibration related.

Blind without positioning means that you got a shutter which can be closed or opened, module cant detect correctly limit switches.
Due that it cannot measure movement time.

As for the icon, sorry for that - it is an issue with Z-Wave shutters related with some changes in icons service in 5.120.
It should not be visible in any condition on Z-Wave devices - at least not in current implementation.

Icon under will show the correct state anyway.

It will be fixed in next HC firmware as it is not related to the app itself.

    Hello @m.roszak,

Since I have the problem with Roller Shutter 3, could you confirm that it is also similar to roller shutter 2 and a future update with solve the problem ?

    Hello,

Everything was fine before I updated to 5.120.10 but now:

    - the icon looks different

    - when I press on the physical button, blinds are moving but position is not reflected anymore in the application (iPhone and/or web interface).

    - when setting up a xx % in app it works fine but when I asked the blinds to go up completely again (or down completely again), they do not take into account the xx % previously set, they go ups or down for 100% (and 100% of time - forcing motor at the end).

Do you also experienced that ? Is there anything specific to parameter to correct that behaviour ?

    1. icon looks different because of the "?" icon, it will be removed
    2. can't reproduce, state is reported correctly - only "?" is visible on overlay, only in APP.
This is not related, please contact support.
    3. Open/Close actions always forced the motor to go to end switches, they do not go to previous set position. It is like that only for dimmers (multilevelSwitches).
Z-Wave Specification mandates to go to full open/full close when using open/close buttons.

Thanks @m.roszak, I thought I was on the support forum, could you point me where to get help, I am really desesperate, I tried the whole week-end to solve it, without success...

Not sure that I understand what you mean, during 2 years, it was working fine (it's only the latest build which gave me this trouble).
I was able to put the roller shutter where I wanted, not only open full or close full, I was able to choose a level, same with the physical button.

    Thanks for any help,

Please update your Home center to the latest software version, next log in locally to Yubii app and then log in remotly to the app.
    It should resolved this issue.

Unfortunately, I was already in the latest build, but I updated to 5.121.28 [beta], and problem still there...

Still very desperate honestly not to find anyone since months to try finding a solution.

Your issue actually looks like a problem with modules calibration, nothing related to HC firmware.
Support is the way to go, really.

Sorry that I cant help with every issue directly, I really want to but there is just not enough time ;/

Well just to let you know, even with a module exclusion, factory reset and inclusion, it's still the same...

Support is not responding anymore after claiming an update would solve the problem.
New update 5.130.45 still does not solve the problem.

    :-(((

I am desesperate, it was working well, for 2 years, and suddenly after this latest release, not working anymore, no answer on forum, no answer from support, I feel alone...

@Fly check again after a reset if lifeline group still have association to controller. For me this a last sort of an advice, except waiting for the support...

Below is my own personal opinion and frustration about hc* controllers. For most cases you don't need to read it :) :

Personally, this was my reason to migrate from hc* controllers to openhab controller. Within hc you can't really troubleshoot such kind of problems by yourself - you are locked out of service tools for that. There is no event any logs about communications between devices to tinker with it (at least at my time having the hc2 controller). I have moved to OpenHab which is opensource and you have lots of possibilities to maintain, service and look through any logs you want and wonderful community often with the openhab software/firmware creators themselves. It is not ideal solution though, because it requires technical skills, but at least you can "see through the software" to check what is really wrong with it.

Thanks @Piotr Bojko for having supported me so long, unfortunately, the association is still the same after factory reset of the module (not yet factory reset of HC3 as I would like to keep it as a last solution only if everything else fails).

Please login or register to see this attachment.

Let's see if support can provide help (or if factory reset is of any help), otherwise I may come back to you to investigate other boxes/solutions :-(
State report is for me essential in an integrated connected home...

@m.roszak you make my day if you can do something on your side, my ticket ID is 230415 (opened 09.10 - first answer 13.10 with the message "Please update your Home center to the latest software version, next log in locally to Yubii app and then log in remotly to the app. It should resolved this issue." and then when I explained it did not solve my issue "please explain again. I am waiting for your answer." - after my explanation, no more news since 13.10... :-( )
    I made a gentle reminder on 14.10, 15.10 and 20.10.

    So far no news.

Should this be the case, I will be more than happy, and make a huuuuuuggggeeee promotion of the support forum !

My main problem is "how to calibrate the FGR-223" when the roller shutter is "with built in driver", as I have the following message in the log:

[21.10.2022] [06:28:15] [TRACE] [ZWAVE]: ID 167: Unknown shutter position reported, please recalibrate it.

If shutter has build in driver it is not easy - automatic calibration won't work. I will push the case.

Hello @m.roszak, thousands thanks as I had an answer from support :-)

I know it can't be automatically calibrated, but I used the #156 and #157 parameters.

But for your information, it was working during 2 years almost, why would it stop sending back the status ? I mean, it's not hardware related, as the same motor + same modules (7 of them !!) was working correctly.
In fact, the motor just calculate for how long it was working, and *SHOULD* report to the HC3 its status, which it does not in my case...

Just that other can follow up in case others have the problem:

    Quote

Apologies for the delayed response.  I was out of office.
    1. Does the roller blind have a impulse-controlled controller?
2 Does the drive control the motor with one or two cables (or different directions of movement)?
    3. Automatic calibration does not work on roller shutters with built-in controller, because we cannot measure the power consumed by the drive - so we do not recognize the limit switches
    4. Please make sure that it is actually a motor with a built-in driver by checking whether it actually reports the power that the drive consumes during the movement

    My Answer:

    Quote

1/ To my knowledge, the roller blind does *NOT* have a impulse controlled controller (I tried to set it up as impulse but it stops working —> I put back « built-in driver »)

2/ It has 2 cables, and the manual of connexion is attached if it can help.

Please login or register to see this attachment.

3/ Yes I know that automatic is not working, but since everybody ask to calibrate it automatically on the forum, I tried to. I have just set up the parameters #156 & #157 to 19s and 20s as it is the time it takes to close/open the roller shutter.

4/ I do confirm that the power is reported when the roller is moving (few W to 180W for the biggest one). However, the power is only displayed when the roller shutter is moved through the application Yubii or website, as I explained already, when using the switch, NOTHING is reported back to the app (nor the power nor the position).

Please note: everything was working correctly few weeks ago, but I do not understand what’s happening.
However, now, if I move manually (with physical button) the roller shutter @ 50% and then I ask to the app to move the roller shutter @ 52% for example, the roller shutter moves only for 2% (which means that the app still know where the blind is)

    Waiting for your feedback,
    Fly
