Does it report instant power consumption during movement?

Posted

@m.roszak yes it does report the instant consumption during movement but only when moved from the app Yubii or web admin interface.

If moved from the physical button, it does not report (while it was reporting few weeks ago).

So, it has build-in driver (probably electronic limit switched) but reports power - maybe it will be possible to calibrate it automatically with some tweaks in parameters.

It is partly electronic limit switch (for down as I understood from installer) and physical limit for up.

Cross finger that support can solve, they are working on it remotely...

Wish they could find the issue :-)

In any case, thanks a lot @m.roszak because you ping them.

Just to let you know, answer of the support, they progress

We are analyzing the problem. We made a correction on the roller shutter with ID 170. Please check if roller shutter is working properly now.
We see the problem in the logs and we have to test the device on our system.

But unfortunately, problem is still similar (*), I have sent a video which, I hope, will clearly explain the problem.

Fly

(*) when roller shutter is moved MANUALLY completely UP or DOWN, the status is reported correctly
(*) when roller shutter is moved MANUALLY the power consumption is indicated correctly, but when the button/shutter is stopped at middle, status is *NOT* reported.

Hello,

Thank you for your message,

I need recreate this automation in our system, contact with the hardware department responsible for roller shutter 3 and check it.
Then I will give you the answer.

So far no news, I just sent a gentle reminder.

@m.roszak do you have any news on my case ? I am suddenly alone (again) ?... ?
Could you push a bit my request ? That would be much appreciated.

As I understand it is consulted with HW team responsible for device firmware, you should get some answers soon.

Hello,

Here is the answer from Last Monday from support:

My apologise for long time waiting for answer.

I did device tests and consulted the problem with the hardware department.
It is not possible to calibrate the roller shutter with a built-in driver in such a way as to see the status between opening and closing. The option you described was always unavailable.
The status was not displayed on any software version.

For me, there is a misunderstanding. I did some investigations, and in previous FIBARO version, it was possible to choose Roller Blind without positioning.
I do have roller blind without positioning (the system automatically stop with an electronic system when going down, and with a physical stopper when going up).
And in the past, for roller blind without positioning, it WAS POSSIBLE to do a calibration.

And in any case, even without calibration, the current module report the consumption instantaneously in the app when moving the blind manually.
In addition, when moving manually @ 50% (not reported in the app), and then asking the app to move it @50% the blind does not move as it is already at 50% (and knows it).

Therefore, I do confirm it's a bug with the recent upgrade.

Hope it can be solved in a future update, I will continue asking Support for it.

No answer to my request to re-study the case.
I launch today a reminder, hope it can be considered, I remind that a professional did not find any problem here and managed to reproduce the problem which seems to be software related.
