Quick App help

Fyase

Question

Hi,

I have a function that do not work. I'm a newbie...

I got a piece of software that read a data from an AC unit ( QuickApp.getNow function ) and should update the labels ( QuickApp.updatelabel ), with a delay, on the quick app on the Home Center.

Both works properly if called manually but not with these code. Where am i wrong?

Thanks

function QuickApp:gettemp()
    QuickApp:getNow()
    fibaro.setTimeout(6000function() QuickApp:updatelabel()() end)
end

    @Fyase

    It will probably be bad ()()
    Somewhat too many brackets for my taste :)

    Hi Martin,

    Thanks for your answer. I don't know how when I copy the code I added a pair of bracket more. In the original code unfortunately there's only one pair but It doesn't work.

  • Because the first function is getting the AC device parameters from a website and I need to wait some seconds before update the label on the application with the reveived data
