[SOLVED]No restart after update to 5.121 Beta

Recommended Posts

Hello,

No restart after update. HC3 gets stuck at the last led. I unplugged the HC3 after 20 minutes, but no booting, no restart.

I restored HC3 back to 5.120.

I try the Update a second time. The same thing happened.

After restoring HC3, I got a notification both times

Updated to my test gateway and everything seems to be fine till now. I have a question about this: "Added possibility to filter out power metering devices from mobile application energy panel.". I don't see any change in the mobile app (Android). Should we expect the change to come with a mobile app update?

I was updating from 5.120.10

In webUI settings of the device which measures instant power consuption (actors with power metering and power meters) there is a checkbox to exclude them from calculations.

Some devices duplicates power values on differnet endpoints etc.

Using this checkbox you can exclude those from summary instant power consuption or production which are shown in app.

Oh, It's more clear now, but I think the bug reported few days/weeks ago is still present.

Here is the current behavior with the beta version :

 - if "Use instantaneous power in Energy Panel calculations" is checked on a specific device/actor and no main meter is defined (Instantaneous power consumption meters)  in the energy panel, then the total instant consumption would be calculated from all devices/actors that have "Use instantaneous power in Energy Panel calculations" checked. Also, if main meter is properly defined in the energy panel, then the instant power consumption from the energy panel is taken from that meter. This works  as it should, no problem here. The issue is if I go in the mobile app under Home ->Whole House, the Instant Power measuring is not taken from the main meter (if that meter is properly defined), but calculated from all devices/actors (it doesn't mater is those devices/actors have "Use instantaneous power in Energy Panel calculations" checked or unchecked). Same if I go to specific room where that device/actor is preset (doesn't mater if "Use instantaneous power in Energy Panel calculations" is checked or unchecked). I think two issues should be fixed:

 1. if Instantaneous power consumption meters is/are defined in Energy Panel->Panel Settings->Meters Configuration, then in the mobile app the "Home ->Whole House" (second icon from bottom-> Whole house summary - this appear only if you have at least 2 rooms) instant power measurement should take the value from that meter/meters instead sums of all actors.

 2. if no Instantaneous power consumption meters is/are defined in Energy Panel->Panel Settings->Meters Configuration then in the mobile app the "Home ->Whole House" should calculate instant power consumption from all device/actors that have "Use instantaneous power in Energy Panel calculations" checked. Also, Each room should take instant power consumption from all devices in that room that have "Use instantaneous power in Energy Panel calculations" checked.

Yes, that part is on mobile app side - IT must be fixed in the app itself :)

No reboot issues here, but as the release notes say... the HC can now have a high temp alert. Look what I have got after reboot, at 19 degrees C room temp:

Log 5 minutes ago: Possible performance decrease due to overheating. Make sure that the hub is in a place with adequate ventilation and is not on top of other devices that are sources of heat. Due to the excessive heating, the performance of the device was temporarily decreased.

I suppose that's the chip die temperature, which could be a lot higher than case temperature, but still, isn't that unlikely at this ambient tem? So it is a false alarm?

Or... On the other hand, if this alarm is real, could it explain the issues other users have reported?

Generally, this is only a notification about something which can occur on every system.

Maybe we are creating it too soon or something like that.

Momentary throttling is normal, especially after some high stess for longer period (update + first boot for example).

We will look into it.

This won't be related to the issue mentioned here.

Ten sam problem. Utknąłem w trakcie update'u.

Zaufałem mojej centralce i postanowiłem zrobić update po 22:00. Teraz albo zarwę nockę albo zmarznę w nocy ?

Hi, same issue here as in above mentioned posts. HC3 gets frozen at "Starting services" during update process.

Even after my second attemp.

Pls help, Thanks!
