Created a QA to control a Charge Amps HALO car charger, also added a Smart Charge function that can be used if you have the Tibber Monitor QA installed.
To be able to use the QA you must request a API key from Charge Amps (just send an email to

) and to be able to use the Smart Charge function you must have the Tibber Monitor QA (developed by SmartHomeEddy) and an account with Tibber. Here are a general overview of the QA:

QA Configuration
In the variables settings in the QA you need to change:
email - provide the e-mail you use to login to Charge Amps
pwd - password for your Charge Amps account
apiKey - the API key you get from Charge Amps
TibberMonitorQA - The ID number of the Tibber Monitor QA in your HC3
**** DEVICE CONTROL ****
In the top section of the QA you have controls for the Charge Amps HALO device where you can much as in the iPhone App from Charge Amps turn on and off the charger, outlet and change the different lights on the HALO device. Rather basic functionality.
**** SMART CHARGER ****
In the lower section of the QA you control the Smart Charge function of the QA.
Select the hour you want the calculations to be done (default is hour 20) and also select how many hours you want the charger to be active (default is 4 hours).
The QA will then at the selected time look on the energy prices for the coming 11 hours (limitation in Tibber Monitor) and select the block of 4 (or the amount you select) which will be the cheapest block of hours to use.
When the calculation is done the QA will control the Start and Stop of the charging.
If you for some reason dont want the charger to become active for a day or more you just press the Pause button in the QA and then press the Resume button when you want to start to use it again.
This is the first “Production” version of the QA, have a list of features to be added and will update this thread when they are implemented.
