Neo Andersson

Question

Hi

Is there any possibility to remotely donwload my customer's logsdump file?

Maybe create a QA with some API call. Does exist any API that can download the logsdump file?

THanks

I think Neo just wants to download the logs from another site, remotely, not the customer site, so he can provide them to Fibaro.

Yes, I think you're right here. But on the other hand, this should never be the issue. If you perform a service for customers, you should have insight into logs at all times. Not with a tricky act of sending it to fibaro first, and then perhaps not getting an answer. A reason given for this method is "the logs are too complex, or contain incorrect information" is certainly not valid in my opinion. But rather a sign of error generated logs. Anyway, maybe not for me, or a lot of other users it might be usefull to provide a decrypt key system for the installers who need the information in the logs.

Well, i'm not gonna post the answer. Maybe fibaro is doing the right thing, encrypting the log. But maybe ChatGPT is full of ***

    Yes correct

Many times, when some error occours, that is related to sum Fibaro bug, or it can not be solved by us, i need to send LOGSDUMP file to fibaro. But when customer is living 250 km from me, it is kinda tricky right??

So thats why i want to get those logs, becuase the Fibaro support will ask for then anyway.

I dont need to look inside of those logs, as it can hold some confidental data, I just need to send it to Fibaro..
