Fibaro Dimmer 2 - Disable when Light outside

Question

Posted

I have a PIR which turns on a light controlled by a Dimmer 2 module. I have a light sensor which provides the LUX value to Fibaro Home Centre 3, so i'd like to know how to configure a scene or other method to disable the dimmer 2 module when it is light outside, as I do not want the lights to turn on by the PIR when it is bright outside.

A hint to get you going:

Create a global variable call IsLight

Create a scene that sets the global variable IsLight in the morning (could be based on sunrise time, or on your LUX meter)

Create a scene that resets the global variable at night

Then, when your PIR is triggered, you should also check whether IsLight is set, and create the appropriate logic to turn on the light.

This approach scales well when you have multiple lights and PIRs.
