Question

Posted (edited)

Hello, I just switched from HC2 to HC3. I'm currently trying to display the status of a quickapp. I have a Quickapp for my Enigma2 box. I would like to query the on or off status and the icon should change afterwards. Can anyone help me with this?

I'm trying to rewrite it for the HC3 and put it in a quickapp. Unfortunately to no avail. Can anyone give me a tip? Maybe there is a nice quickapp that I can use as a template.

If you create a QA with the type com.fibaro.binarySwitch you can set an on and off icon in the GUI. If you turn the device on, and off it automatically changes.

But that only works if I switch it on and off via quickapp. However, the Quickapp should query the status.

OK, so get the status from the Dreambox and change the icon whatever you need (use api.put).

By the way I change icons on the fly all the time. Have wall switches connected to Air conditionrs, dishwaser, dryer, boiler.   All switches always at on position, the icon changes according to the power consumption.

For example while no power, the icon for air conditioner is

As you can see the switch always at On position. User turning the AC ON or OFF by remote. The only time I turn OFF the switch is when no motion detected at room for 2 hours. Kids always forget to shut down the AC and it can work for days in a row. So to avoid a huge electricity bill, I keep an eye on the big power consumers at my home.

That kind of changes you want for Dreambox?

That's an interesting approach. How did you implement that?

Add the preferred icons to a device, so the are uploaded to your HC3

Look up the number of the icon by save as the picture from your HC3, you wil see a number

Use those numbers with the above code
