You will have to ask Fibaro, not the forum

A customer-friendly and customer-interested company does read their community and does do something with the often asked similar questions. On Fibaro@Facebook, the posts are bit more drastic, but that's what FB is all about ;-)

I think we should draw our conclusion with Fibaro, their sales are going down, their releasesmanagement is terrible, no product development, and stability ..... well, lets not go there ;-)

It's just rude to make such statements on a forum. We're not toddlers after all.

But then again, thanks @A.Socha it is appreciated.

It's rude that apparently a statement like that is needed to get a very short reaction from Fibaro. Where is customer intimacy?

Thank you for the info.

I understand that not everyone likes that we do not publish a roadmap, We prefer to stick to the concepts of soon. More important for us now is the quality than on the quantity of updates, We are doing a lot of testing before it hits the alpha or beta channel. And since we are working on some big features, we want them to work properly before we make them available to you, even if it means delaying the release of the update several times due to errors found. In the past, we have several times given deadlines for which we have been criticized for failing to meet them. Or that the update does not work stably. Therefore, we now prefer to declare cautiously, especially since in this way we do not have to shorten the test period to meet the deadline

After this statement, you need to be more than 100% sure, that you are releasing fully tested software ;)

You left no space for mistakes ;)

It has been two years now since I took my HC2 and HC3 out of service and switched to Hubitat. A few times a year I still visit this forum to see how Fibaro is doing.

Statements like the above make me happy: there are some things in life that are certain, one is that the sun will rise next morning and the other is that Fibaro will make statements with promises that will never be fulfilled.

I really appreciate your honesty here. What worries me is that there is so little communication. Why not be a little more open about what's under development? I feel that we are kept in the dark, I'd like to know what known issues are to be adressed in the coming update? What are your plans for additional features for the system? A timeline would be nice but just a little insight would help a lot. We have 500+ installations under management and I hate to keep telling my clients that we have no idea when the next update is due.

Just out of curiosity, tell me.

What do your customers expect from an update that you cannot deliver now? I can imagine that if you are a major player in home automation provision, you have expectations of this. But do you really get questions from customers about updates?

What is missing right now?

Well, I would be interested in that too. So you can imagine that you are under enormous pressure when you are waiting for a critical error to be fixed.

And for that reason, I use the latest stable version 5.110 (2022/04) in the production environment.

Honestly, since then I haven't found anything that I need for myself or a client that isn't in this version. (perhaps improved energy panel).

Biggest issue at the moment is that the hold function for the climate zones does not work properly, after 7 days it reverts back to the schedule. Has been this way for months and with the current energy prices and the heating season coming customers really do ask when this issue will be addressed.

Ok, that's beyond my knowledge, but I can imagine that your customers are upset about that. I assume that previous updates also have this problem, and that you therefore choose to run the most recent firmware for customers. I get your point, thanks for the clarification.

I Hope it is, we will find it very soon because it is planned on next week (hope we will don't find anything what will delay it) and it will work stable and faster
