QuickApp | Changing a global variable

Question

Posted

Hi there,

I'm using global variables for controling a lot of things like automatic / manual heating, automatic / manual pool filtering and so on. When I want to change the behavior of the controlled subsystems I need to go to Settings and change the appropriate global variable.

I would like to have a quickapp made to control those global variables to have a more convinient / users friendly way to manipulate with the global variables. The idea is to have a quickapp showing the current state (enumerated global variable) like AUTOMATIC / MANUAL and toogle the state with the click on it.

Is there someone who can point me to the right way to do that...? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Lubos

Hi @k2aab

Most of the Fibaro functions that are explained under the scene action part in the developer document can be also used in quick apps code:

Indeed

If the global variable doesn't exists yet, you need "post". If it already exists (and you want to change the value), you need "put". And sometimes you want to delete the global variable.

I use these function for the global variables:
