Fibaro Alarm HC3 how to check open window and exclude from trigerr alarm list

Hi, I have a Fibaro HC3 controller and 20 door sensors. The built-in alarm scene triggers the alarm immediately after arming if any window was open prior to arming. I'd like to find a way to bypass this, for instance, when I want to arm the alarm during summer but still have a window slightly open in the house.

With the api and some Lua programming you could add and remove devices to a partition temporarily

It would be nice to be able to disable alarmPartitions so they don't take part in the house arming. Then one could solve a case like this by disabling the standard partition and enable a "summer partition" with the window excluded.... or just have the window in a separate alarm partition that is disabled during the summer.

  • Okay, I've solved the issue with open windows. I added a variable for each window that can take values 0 and 3.

I've written a scene triggered when the alarm is disarmed and any window is open. Then it runs an 'if' statement checking all window statuses. If a window is open, the auxiliary variable receives a value of 3.

The second scene triggers when the built-in Fibaro alarm scene is armed, any window is open, and the auxiliary variable for that window is not equal to 3.

This way, windows flagged with 3 are excluded from monitoring, allowing them to be opened and closed while the alarm is armed :)

Every 5 minutes, there's also a cron job based on the first scene. This scene does exactly the same thing, but it checks if the window flagged with 3 has been closed and changed its flag to 0.
