Fibaro Door/Window sensor

Hi!

A year ago i went from HC2 to HC3. I used manual method and excluded all devices from one and started to add them to HC3. Everything exept 3 door/window sensor. So i leaved them at this time. Now i found them again, put new batterys in and started to include them... i cant include them with 3x tmp click... but i can include them with 5x tmp click. Okey, they show up in my HC3 but
one sensor with FW 2.1 shows like all okay, but it wont respond to magnet.

 

second one same thing 3x tmp click won't do nothing. 5x tmp click add's it ti HC3 but it shows that battery is 0%. I know for a fact that it's not true and battery is new. But it works like a door/window sensor, reacts to magnet and all. Firmware version 2.5

 

the third one... firmware 2.5... same thing... it won't do nothing with 3clicks but works with 5 clicks. Battery shows 100%... it works but as soon i change "door sensor" to "windows sensor" it stops working and shows battery 0%

all three drains batterys in matter of hours... after 4-6hour they are half empty, after one day they are depleted

i also tyd them to home assistant... result is the same. So problem is not in HC3 but in sensors.

Also problem with fibaro dimmer FW 1.9 (Dimmer 1?) I have lamp with 6 bulbs. Bulbs are Ledvance dimmable e14. They worked fine previously, but now... they blinking... and not all of them in same time but in different times. but all of them are connected to ome dimmer and one wire (they are not separatly switchable)

@HenryEST On your hc3, which firmware release and zwave engine ZW2 or ZW3 are you running?

when i bought hc3 was v5.090... right now is 5.150.18

zwave ofcorse zw2, dont want to be with beta software... you never know what will work and what not

Changed sensor type "opening sensor" to "window sensor" and shows battery 0%, but in remote shows battery 100%

@HenryEST My door sensor is at fw 3.2. The dimmer2 is on fw 3.5.

 

I've seen the newer homecenters, have issues with older zwave devices and firmwares. Checkout if you can update them?

 

The first fibaro door/window sensor, had an input for connecting a switch. I don't know if you have the newer one without the input? The manual of the new one is

The empty battery sign in the controller often means, this zwave isn't included correctly to the controller. 

 

Things you can try:

Soft reconfiguration, for battery devcies you have to wake them up in order to complete the reconfiguration.

Include the devices with/without security.

Make sure the devices are close to the controller for the include process and for updating the device.

probably those are older doorsensors. Home Assistant identify's them FGK101

i always add them without security, i never got to pair them in secure mode.
i tryd next to HC3 to pair them

No i cant get update for them
Problem stay's even with home assistant (with aeoteck z-stick gen5+)

 

Also, why tripple click wont work to include but work to exclude and why for include works 5-click? Where this 5 click's come?

 

This dimmer2 manual won't help me either
I am in point where i'm moving from HC3 to home assistant and right now is question do i need to change all fibaro modules also. Because if they "brake" like that for no obvious reason, then to buy again them seems pointless.

@HenryEST I've seen this 5-click thing also trough the years, I don't remember on which zwave devices. However if it does the trick, why bother?

 

There are an endless amount of smart home devices avaliable. A big thing with HA, are the shellys. I whish you the best of luck with your HA journey. Keep away from SD Cards.

i don't know, who and how dumb need to be to make smarthome over wifi (Shelly). There is tons of zwave and zigbee devices... i like fibaro devices most part but i dont like that support is terrible. No firmware updates... also very poor support of zigbee devices for HC3

battery will be fine. Wait one day and it will show correct capacity.

I had the same issue. Fibaro support ask to wait. Will come correct status.

+2 days later (3 days for total)... same result

And if this battery not shown, it drains battery... 2-5 days and battery is empty

NB! added those sensors to home assistant
