P1 meter questions

Question

Posted (edited)

I have a P1 meter (electricity) connected to my HC3. My system uses the "P1 Meter WiFi Gateway" smart app.

I have some questions on things I see here and I hope some more experienced board-members can maybe help me out here.

(1) I see a device called "Consumption today (normal rate)". In the device info under "general", I see the total cumulated #kWhs and today's consumption. In the Dashboard, I see that tile as well. That one shows a different (large) number (somewhat close to my total number but off a bit) and a smaller number to the right, which is NOT my today's consumption. What are these numbers and why do I not see today's consumption (as the device-name seems to indicate?)

(2) I see graphs for consumption, but not for voltage or amperage... Why is that?

(3) If I look in the Electricity screen I see individual consumers but not the P1 info, if I choose "P1 meter" in the "Choose Room" dropdown, I get a message that there is no data

(4) In Yubii, I can also see my P1 data, amperages are displayed there 16 decimals... (the rest seems OK). Is that something I can adjust

I don't seem to be able to edit my post so I'll 'correct' one observation here. Just noticed that the 'small number' to the right of the larger number is merely the decimal part of that larger number.

Since you had also e-mailed me and I replied to this, I will also post this reply here for other forum users:

    A) Voltage and amperage are of the Electric meter type within the HC3. For this type, FIBARO does not support graphs. There is nothing I can do about this. You could submit a feature request to FIBARO.

    B) I don't know the Electricity option. Do you mean the Energy Panel? The P1 meter devices are not devices that consume energy. These are devices that show consumption. The Energy panel (if properly configured via the JDK manual) shows consumption. All devices whose consumption the HC3 can measure is displayed in here. Then the HC3 takes a sum of all this consumption and subtracts it from the consumption the HC3 receives via the P1 meter. This is the remaining consumption and visible under the heading: rest.

    C) The P1 meter Quick App itself is the device controller that creates child devices for the P1 values such as voltage, amperage, the phases, consumption. In short, this device does not provide any data. That's why you don't see it anywhere.

I guess you expect there is a P1 meter device that contains all the data. This is not the case, so you will have to choose consumption and return devices when exporting the consumption and return values.
