Continuous rebooting after last software update HC3

I recently purchased a home with an extended Fibaro system. It is impossible to me to setup all devices again, some of them are under the garden, some under the terrace...
After purchase, together with the seller, we created my new Fibaro account (admin) and we deleted the old Admin account.

I added a few devices, Zigbee breakers, all good.
Then I decided to update to 5.160.42 ... problems started. Continuous rebooting... 
Also the backup is very large I notice... 11MB.
 
The only thing I could do was to factory reset and restore a backup.
 
The last backup 5.160.42, doesn't want to work: "error while flashing image".
Anyway it has issues of rebooting because on version 5.160.42

The backup 5.140.17 works well (but not if I update the software).
The issue with this backup is that I can login with my user but I am not admin. Here admin was the previous owner. But this account doesn't even exist anymore!
The original admin is the previous owner, I know the email but not the password and he doesn’t have access to that email anymore.
 
Any idea on how to solve this? Ono of the two backups must be restored...

    They don't work during the weekend and I am pretty sure they will tell me: you don't have admin account anymore? We can't give you admin right on another account... proivacy, security and so on...
    Anyway I sent them an email.

    Strange you don’t have a 5.140.17 backup from the new admin account, because you updated with the new admin account.

    Perhaps a restore to the last known working version, as last resort from my side.

    If it's working create  a new back up without saving history, should be size much smaller.

    The only backup I have with the new admin account is with 5.160.42 version. It worked a few hours and in the morning I found it rebooting in loop.
    Nothing worked, only a factory reset. Anyway, even with a factory reset, and a clean home center 3, the installation of 5.160.42 fails. Any other version works.
    But the only backup where I am admin, is on 5.160.42 version, which doesn't work on my home center 3.

    Ok I assume you can't interrupt the loop.

    Unplug HC3 wait 1 minuut plug in.

    I think you are missing the right backup. Before updating the system default makes a backup. you donkt have that backup. 
     

    It makes no sense to restore to the firmware, you are having trouble with. I think you are out of options. Mayby Fibaro support can do something for you, us “normal” users can’t.

    Ok thanks. I hope they can upgrade my user to admin and I wouldn’t face a big configuration loss compared to the last working backup. I have no idea why I don’t have another backup right before the software update.

    I contacted the previous owner and we found a way to recover his admin account. So I logged in, I changed again admin to myself again. First thing I did was cloud backup. Such shame it that after the backup the system must reboot. And of course it is not rebooting...

    So, home center 3 has problems when:
    1) creating a new backup after admin change
    2) updating to version 5.160.42

    In both cases it starts looping in recovery mode

    So guys, Fibaro didn't reply yet. Meanwhile I bought a new HC3, started good. I transferred the backup on the new HC3 and after the reboot it is already in recovery mode. No way!

    I think you have a wrong backup. You have proven it with the new HC3. Fibaro support hopefully can help you out. Maybe give them a call. 

     

    Otherwise, without a useful backup, you have to start from scratch. You don't have that much devices (21) and scenes (23), so it should be doable.

    21 devices >> backup 11 Mb seems a long history

     

    I have 

    70 devices >> backup 3,8 Mb No history

                             backup 10 Mb one week history

    Remark I create a lot off data with 8 temperature devices

    I hope Fibaro can "repair" your backup

    I solved it resetting the Zigbee network. There were only a few devices there luckily.
