Posted

Hello all, i am thinking about upgrade from HC2 to HC3, is it possible to transfer all settings...? In 2022 @Sankotronic was working with it, but i could not find any answers. Anyone know if this is possible?

Hello @Inge,

As scenes are in HC3, compared to HC2, completely redesigned from the ground up and use different architecture, their migration is not possible.

Best regards,
Jakub

Thank you. I asked Fibaro support and they told me the same thing. I asked them if i could have both HC2 and HC3 running, and i could build the scenes in HC3 while HC2 was still functioning, but - no...not possible to use them simultainiously. Then i need to see if i want to take the challenge and build everything up from scratch again. I will see if i can download the user manual for HC3 and see how it is to build scenes before i decide :-)

Thank you, i will check it out. As i understand, then i can use HC2 as a slave, and have functionality - and "transfer" to Lua when i want :-) Kind regards, Inge

you still need to make a clever plan to go from HC2 to HC3. How many Z-Wave devices do you have? And how many scenes and virtual devices?
