Delete all the options from a single select control or from a multiselect control

Si there anyone in the world or universe, who can tell me how to clear a dropdown list?

This control is like a nightmare (but unfortunatelly nothing else to choose from)

 

 

Neither of these work

 

How it works wiith simple select and how with multiselect?

 

I am not using the new look. Just with the old one,  (with the new nothing works)

Do you have an “all” or “none” or “select one” option on top of your dropdown, that actually does nothing? You can select that one.

No, but this is the idea i was thinking about, so i will populate the dropdwn with an empty option...Thanks you for your suggestion..
