Room categories?

What's the go with room categories? They are mandatory and lack any categories that mean anything to me....but I can't find a place to add them or amend them?

 

Everything is an attic for now...

    It's not really a case of needing some, I just don't see why I need it at all. I can't see why it's mandatory, and why I can't seem to add my own?

     

    Yes, I could use 'living room' for 'lounge room', but that means nothing to us. Same with 'boiler room' for our subfloor, or 'office' for my music studio.

     

    Are these actually not customisable?
