Netatmo km/h to m/s

Question

Posted

I have uncommented these lines, but the values are still read in km/h and not m/s, does anyone know what is wrong?

Hi @Svein ,

I guess version you are using is not made by me. My version:

reads units from station and therefore if you want to change measuring units you need to use Netatmo mobile app go to Settings and then My account. Under the My account first select Profile and then Units. Under the Units you select desired units for temperature, wind speed and pressure and after saving, QA will change to appropriate values and units on the child devices on the next update. You can also use button "Update measurements" on the main QA to refresh all child devices immediately after change is applied.

NOTE - Since Netatmo Weather station main QA is made as weather provider it uses units set on the HC3 (but does not recalculate values) so there will be value for wind speed in m/s, but unit will still be km/h if not differently selected in HC3(L) configuration. If I remember when m/s is selected and provided wind speed is already in m/s then it will wrongfully recalculate it, but this is up to the Fibaro developers and not myself ;-)

BTW - screenshot you provided is from HC3, but your personal info still says you are on HC2. Maybe you can correct it so that you get proper answers to your questions :-)

    @Svein

I don't use HC2 or HC3 anymore but if I remember correctly you configure the wind speed m/s in HC2/HC3 configuration.

It was a few years ago that I managed to get Fibaro to add m/s because approx. 30 million people in Scandinavia use m/s and not km/h.

Then I think it is the case that your anemometer sends data to Netatmo's server every 5 minutes, but you can only retrieve data from their server every 10 minutes.
For that reason I have bought another anemometer where I retrieve data every second. The anemometer is an Oregon that I have rebuilt with an ESP32 that talks to HomeAssistant.

    Hej,
jak mam to przesłać do HC3?
