Problem adding new devices

Hi, 

 

I have HC3 that started to have problems adding new z-wave devices. I turn HC3 add new device mode on. I set new devices in discovery mode and nothing happens. I have tried three different devices, all new. Also after removing one of my previously working devices and reseting it will not add it back. 

 

I managed to new HUE controller through QuickApp and some zigbee devices but Fibaro z-wave devices will not add. I tried restarting HC3 and getting it back to the previous firmware, didn't help. 

 

My current setup holds ~90 devices including 80+ z-wave devices (mostly from fibaro) all of them connected with no issues and are working fine. The only problem is with new devices mentioned previously (2x Fibaro Button and 1x Single Switch 2) 

 

Any sugestions what might be wrong and how to fix it?

Try to exclude the devices first? Just start exlucsion mode on the hc3 and start device learing/adding mode"
(this reset the z-wave network on the device if it was added to another z-wave controller and have momory of that) 

Then again start inclusion and start device learing/adding mode 🤔

Tried that, didn't help. Looks like HC3 is unable to see new devices.

Could there be a lot of (too much) z-wave traffic from your 80+ z-wave devices?

I had an "broken" Aeotec Multisensor 6. This was flooding the network with traffic.
Sometimes the HC reacted slow but not always, also adding a device could be very problematic.

Now a have around 100 devices without major issues.

Adding devices sometimes "hangs", you can see it in debug >> restart HC* will solve that.

Hello, i have the same problem, adding new devices is inpossible. Did you fixed it already?

You can spot the problems with adding devices, when using zwave 3 (and encrypted connection). This can start to occur after proper adding and functioning several devices before.

I have the same problem. I have rougly 40 fibaro products in my network. Suddenly the inclusion with S2 does not work any longer. The inclusion process ends sometimes with the inclusion of the devices in S0 mode. Very strange. I have HC3 latest released version. I also used the PC Z-wave controller from Silabs to analyse the quelity of the network. All devices show a good quality. Many nodes build up a meshed network. Desperate

Nop... still nothing. Also response time from Fibaro Support got super long.
