HC2 to HC3

Hi all,

I'm thinking of upgrading from my HC2 to a HC3.

Anything i need to be aware of? Will my VD´s work without any issues?
The lua code in my scenes, will they be "handled" in a good way when ported to HC3?

Anything else?

You need to do some work. Your VD's won't work on the HC3. HC3 works with quickapps, somewhat different. Also the Lua scene need to have some rework to work on a HC3.

I don't know if its obvious but :

- add new HC3 to Cloud account

 - make a cloud backup of HC2

 - call support to set this backup as a "donor"

 - migrate backup, HC2 will go to factory default, adn HC3 will take over all devices

no, You don't need to re-include, migration procedure will do it for You. All devices are migrated, but all scenes and VDs You must rewrite.

Have you experienced any improvement between HC2 and HC3 when it comes to coverage, speed, less delays etc?

the jump is epochal

and additional zigbee

i didn't test coverage, but everything else is completely new

if you are not considering another system then do not wait, HC3 is not that new anymore, but HC2 is a waste of time (maybe not for very advanced users who have a very advanced system - e.g. Sanktronic?)

and todays price in Poland is 1500PLN - few years ago was 2500PLN
