HC2 as a slave device of the HC3

Hello, I would like to use my HC3 in parallel with my HC2, i.e. as the main device and the HC2 only as a secondary device, so that I can move the individual actuators one after the other, or possibly replace them with Zegbee actuators.
Do I have to activate the HC3 on this page first? “https://home.fibaro.com/cmh/device/list”
I was thinking about linking the two together until everything has been moved, or even leaving the HC2 running as a secondary device if I can't move individual actuators.

Do I then add the HC2 to the HC3 as a slave device? So far, the HC3 does not allow this.

HC2 can not be used as a slave device with HC3 and vice versa. All you can do is transfer all z-wave devices from HC2 to HC3, but then HC2 will be reset. Unfortunately scenes and Virtual Devices from HC2 can't be transferred to HC3 and needs to be rewritten to run on HC3.

 

Currently I'm still running HC2 as my primary controller while I develop QA and scenes on HC3. I use @cag014 solution Slaves for HC3:

to emulate z-wave devices from HC2 on HC3 for easier development of new automation.

I took liberty to upgrade @cag014 solution and add Slaves Master controller QA for faster setup of the slaves QA and centralized control. Also added few more slaves just to better match z-wave devices installed on my HC2 just didn't publish my version of HC3 slaves yet.

 

Once I finish with all code that I need on HC3, then I will transfer all z-wave devices from HC2 to HC3 and retire HC2.

That button "Activate" should actually say "Set as default"
