Can't remove a device (force remove not working) - NOP sending succeeded error

Question

Posted

Recently, one of my thermostats (an MCOHome device) stopped working completely. I disconnected it from power and brought it to a recycling center, so I no longer have access to the device.

Now I’m trying to remove it from my Fibaro Home Center 3 (HC3). Since the device is no longer available, I can't perform a standard exclusion. I tried the forced exclusion option, but I get the following error:

Please login or register to see this code.

However, the device no longer exists, and I don’t have any other similar MCOHome devices in the network that could be used in Learning Mode.

Is there a way to completely remove this dead node from the HC3 manually? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Yo, I have the same problem with multiple devices after migrating vom HC2 to HC3 - you may ask Fibaro Support for a database clean-up, but don‘t expect too much (when I asked, Support simply refused to do a clean-up).

It is not a db issue, it is related with duplicated node in network - there is a device having the same network address which prevents force removal.
This means that device was added, then backup were restored, another device was added and it is using the same network address as a first one.

The only solution is to find which device it is, remove it from network and add it again.

Thank you for your reply. Is there a way to troubleshoot it? I have 70+ devices... Can't imagine to find it by luck by removing and readding them all!
