How to configure TP-Link C320SW IP Camera on HC3?

Question

Posted

Hi,

I'm having some trouble to configure an IP Camera from TP-Link on HC3

Camera:

TP-Link TAPO C320SW, connected using WIFI.

I've used the following steps:

Add Device > IP Camera > Manufacter: Other > Model: Other.

Please login or register to see this attachment.

My working RTSP url is the following (valited on VLC):

rtsp://user:[email protected]:554/stream1

How can I translate this url to que Advanced IP Camera configuration, meening what should I fill on each input field?

Does someone knows what I should fill on JPG stream path, MJPG stream path and choose on preview settings, for this camera?

Thanks in advanced.

Hope someone can help me with this.

Hello @mcandeias

I see nobody answered your question.

I was doing some research before including some TAPO cams in my house... and found your post.

So if you still need help, please notice you confirmed using IP 192.168.1.234 while checking stream on VLC; so that's the IP you need to set in "network configuration". You screen capture shows you used 192.168.1.233 for some reason ??!

You could find more info about setting up different IP cameras on this website:

As for your TP-Link cam, here is a

Please login or register to see this link.

You left JPEG and MJPEG stream path empty, this is correct. Unless you camera has Jpeg and Mjepg support, which doesn't seem to be the case on the above website.

Therefore I believe your preview settings should be set to "Display as JPEG", but you may try leaving "Display as MJPEG".

Finally, you don't need to put anything in RTSP external IP/Port, please remove external IP and Port !

So, only leave '/stream1' in RTSP path and '554' in RTSP port as you have already entered it correctly.

And correct your IP and make sure login and password for the camera are correct (usually it's 'admin' and 'admin')

hope this helps
