Several GUI issues (Started with "Time hard to read")

because the time is now more transparant, it is very hard to read with the “Show hidden rooms” on the background.

I have totally different icons... have you tried to Delete cached images in your browsing data?

Hello mr. @m.roszak,

 

Before update to this beta, my weather providers were also updating weather icon on GUI Dashboard. After installing this beta, temperature, humidity and wind are still updated, but there is no weather status icon. Now I have this:

Have your team again changed something regarding that or this is just another victim of changing web interface look & feel? I guess either weather codes are changed or even better weather icons are not included for new look?

It definetly does not look right, could you confirm on other browser?

You got a mix of old and new interface which should not be possibile.

 

First thought will be the cache but you already confirmed clearing it...

I checked it with the iPad (latest iOS) in Safari and Google Chrome, both transparant and hard to read. With the iPad and Safari and remote loggin it works ok. 

 

With the MacBook PRO (latest MacOS) with remote logging in Safari and Google Chrome it works ok. (I can test it tonight without remote login, maybe I will re-install the beta)

Very strange, I did check it myself on Chrome and Firefox - both ok on ZW3.0

Could you check the api/devices/3 and paste it here?
For me it seems to be working ok, correct weather icon.

Maybe specific weather condition does not work correctly.

I am on the ZW2 engine.

 

In the other post Brors writes there is a difference between the colors of the debug logging in ZW2 and ZW3.

it was "partlyCloudy" with code 33. Is there somewhere I can find what weather conditions and codes are supported by HC3 or this are all available (extracted from your code for open weather):

I think that above example is missing weather condition "partlyCloudy" and code 30 that definitely exist

what weather provider are you using btw. ? Default one or custom (QuickApp)?

I was able to reproduce this but only using wrong conditions for weather, like "Rain" instead of "rain".

so, for sure we are not supporting all those after moving from Yahoo to YR - so, the ones in QuickApp examples should work.

I mean, what is the use of great possibilities of your gateways when only your developers know what is available and how to use!

So, intended list is in QA example.

From the other hand, those are pretty limited and some of old weather conditions was interesting -> I will talk with the designers about that, if we can make icons for all "old" conditions also. 
It may be tricky in new visuals but maybe we will just map similar ones to one icon at least.

I mapped provided weather conditions from weather service e.g. Wunderground to available weather conditions on HC3 in all my QA. Problem is obviously that I do not have correct list for HC3 and therefore for some received conditions it is not shown properly.

 

BTW - I tried to find information on Fibaro knowledge base, but search engine is not up to the task, so not easy to find what is needed.

You can also tell your developer team, that for example weather condition "storm" with code 1 does not show that condition on web GUI, but on Yubii Home app my provider does show proper Fibaro icon. How is that possible, except if someone did a big mess with all this weather conditions and codes?

As you can see from above pictures there are some odd things to mention:

1. Weather condition "storm" with code 1 is not shown on web GUI, but it is shown on my QA on Yubii Home app with your icons, not mine.
2. QA labels with a bit more text are exiting QA border in browser making them unreadable and are not aligned like on the app
3. QA of weather provider type allows users to use custom icons, but only on browser in web GUI, while on Yubii Home app default icons are shown.
4. web GUI dark mode is made more unreadable than before. I do not know who is responsible for design, but must be some very young boy or girl with extra good eyesight otherwise would never use dark grey on very dark blue background. This goes for web GUI as for swagger too.
5. After all this years it seems like you want to fail and I'm not surprised that many knowledgeable users left this platform. Instead of solving important problems, your developers are again playing with look&feel and doing very bad job with that. Not to mention that after all this years of developing HC3 firmware and adding some very good possibilities you never updated QA and scenes manuals, give some examples for different types of QA devices etc.
