Switch does not trigger scene, only interval makes it work

Question

Posted

Hi all,

why does this scene only work when I have the interval?

when removing the interval and declaring the 'Lichtschalter' as the trigger, the scene is not started.

Where do you set/change the global variable „Lichtschalter“? Apart from that I don‘t understand the logic behind the scene: Why turn on devices every 1 minute?

I know it looks silly to monitor the 'Luchtschalter' every minute, but without doing so the scene is not working.

'Lichtschalter' is a wall outlet with an on-off push button, which is the trigger (should be) of the scene.

I do have to add the interval as otherwise the scene is not triggered and the two lights are not switched on. Just having the trigger 'Lichtschalter' does not lead to any reaction and the scene is not started. Only having the interval is reading the status of the 'Lichtschalter' and executing the scene. Without the continuous 'Interval' the scene is not started.

I have many other scenes which do not work anymore. many are time based. maybe by identifying the root cause on this scene helps me to get the other scenes working as well again. It was all working for a long time, but due to whatever reason, many (most) of my scenes do not work anymore as the trigger is not recognized.
