Watter pump operating notification scenario

Question

Posted (edited)

Hello,

I have a 1 m wide and 5 m deep shaft behind my house, into which groundwater flows during heavy rainfall. The shaft has a 1.1 kW submersible pump for draining water, which is connected to a socket via a Double Switch 2 switch for control purposes in Fibaro HC3.

I am interested in how to create a scenario so that the system will notify me via e-mail when the submersible pump is turned on/when it is operating.

Best regards,

Ales

Okay, as i guessed, there is no way to get a trigger from the switch output, as you have it always ON. There is only ona way. You have to use a instant power treshold. (the way SmartHomeEddy is showing you in the earlier post) This is the easiest way, and it is quite reliable.

Thank you both for the explanation. I will write such a block scenario and wait for heavier rain.

@Ales Habicht You will have to measure how much power is consumed in standby (waiting for rain) and operating (pump) mode. So you can set the proper value in the blockscene to trigger.

Maybe you have to change the parameter for power reporting of your switch.

    Hello,

This is a screenshot of the consumption graph for the submersible pump's operation on Friday. In standby mode, consumption is 0 W, and in operation mode, it is 1600 W.
Which parameters should be changed and to what values? In Fibaro double switch 2, only channel 1 is active, the other is a reserve.
In this case, what value should be set for consumption in the block scenario?
    Best regards,

    Ales

So I think it would already work with the 8 Watt I use for my doorbell (NL "Deurbel"). But probably better to set it more close to the 1600 Watt the pump uses, like 1000 Watt.

OK, I'ii set 1000 W. What about other parameters?

In the parameters of the device you can set the reporting interval. But I think with 0 to 1600 Watt the default will do.
