Hello all, I have just bought a battery operated Horstmann (Secure) SRT323 room thermostat which I have included to my HC2 (Ver. 0140) and I got three devices , one thermostat, one thermometer and one that has a thermostat icon but only I can select Heat from the dropdown menu. When I change the setpoint temperature from the thermostat the HC2 is updated immediately, but when I try to change it from the HC2 I get the message"waiting for wakeup" which is normal since the thermostat is battery powered, but when I wake up the thermostat by pressing the setpoint button to check room temp, nothing happens. I have checked the advanced settings of the device and the wakeup interval is set at 86400 sec (24hrs) but I cannot change it , I can change the value but after I save it the number is still 86400 (?) . Does this mean that if I want to change the setpoint I have to wait 24hrs for the unit to wake up and update the value? Can anyone give me some information on how to tackle this issue? Solved: I finally managed to change the wakeup interval to 256 sec (which I think, is the lowest possible) . It changed after the unit wake up after the 24hrs passed, since the unit is battery powered.
After to many hours of trying to get my fibaro system and horstmann/secure getting to work here a howto what worked for me: 1. Install the relais and the thermostat separate to the fibaro system (don't connect the devices to each other as the manual suggest) 2. Include the thermostat using the include mode on the thermostat (dip switch to 1 to on and turn wheel to I and press) 3. Include the relais by a. first remove device in fibaro system and press network button on the relais b. include the relais by getting fibaro in include mode and press the network button on the relais The relais and the thermostat works with fibaro (change the wakeup time to 256 for the thermostat by change it in fibaro and put thermostat in install mode (dip switch 1 to on) and toggle the wheel to the n. You can manipulate both relais and thermostat temperature. Last step is associate the thermostat to the relais, by using fibaro (straightforeward connection). When using a normal HCV (like Nefit) you can turn on the HCV by shorten the signal wires from the HCV to the relais. Use connector 2 and 4 for this. And check with a multimeter. On = 0 ohm resistant, off = Unlimited resistant. This should do the trick, create heat scenes etc for correct working. One thing I noticed, when changing the thermostat temp and turning the boiler on, the change state is not visable in fibaro. Good luck with the horstmann/secure thermostat!
Hi, I had a fairly complex scene running before the update, which i stitched together from code on this forum about a year ago. It checks all my valves set temperatures and compares them with the nearest temperature sensor. If there are valves that need the boiler to be on, i turn it on, if not i turn it off. This happens all day long with a lot of sleeps. Now before the update the code worked fine and used the following boiler functionality: local boiler = 139 boilerStatus = tonumber(fibaro:getValue(boiler, 'state')) -- Check current state (1 = on 0 = off) fibaro:call(boiler, 'turnOn') -- Turn boiler on fibaro:call(boiler, 'turnOff') -- Turn boiler off The state variable still seems to work. The turnOn and turnOff actions are gone... I can only call: reconfigure() -- every device has this... setmode() -- don't know how to use this => must i give an on/off parameter somehow? I have never used an action/function that requires a parameter... Any tips? Thanks already Florian
