Home Center 2 Failed?

Well on top of the inconsistent behaviour!

My box has today decided to * itself completely! So ZERO home automation for me!

Noticed the notifications had stopped on gate sensor so investigated to find 4 static lights on HC2 now fom past experience that means unplug me and plug me back in in English!

So after doing so the unit lights up 8...... 7....... 6....... blah blah and then nothing! no lights no access!

HELP?

And before it even gets mentioned! I am NOT losing all my settings! NEVER! So please any advice must be sensible to get my box sorted!

I would like to say, connect a screen on HC2 to see if you have an error on the boot.

If you have 4 light NEVER disconnect the power from the main. Turn off the HC with off button otherwise you may get lost your system settings and will have to recover from v1.4

Anyway you should stay calm

    OK managed to get recovery mode but its failing restore regardless of what order i do them in! grrrrrrrrr i had a bad feeling about this!

    remove backup pendrive, attach this to your computer - delete older backups and install it again. Just had a problem with customer who had so many backups that the pendrive was full, and HC2 acted strangely.

    Ok im back running again but what the * caused that carnage? Oh and thanks devs for your help. .. (sarcasm over)

    Hi Dean,

    My recovery stick has also failed. Seams to be a common issue.

    Any hints on how you recovered as sending my unit in is not an easy option for me.

    I don't understand why they fail unless HC2 is constantly using the stick? Would be a strange thing to do but a failing stick could also cause those intermittent lock ups some of us get as the OS tries to writing to the stick and fails.

    End of my tether now!

    So I am now forced to send the HC2 back due to hardware failure! It has done EXACTLY the same again! I am seriously on the verge of hitting Vesternet with a NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE order and telling Fibaro to stick this unit and never using them again!

    All that time and effort setting up my devices I am now assuming was for NOTHING and I will lose all the configs? can i plug usb into my pc and backup anything to stick on replacement?

    Seriously this has been a BAD EXPERIENCE from start to finish!

    Sorry to hear that but i can only tell you what i have experienced.

    I don't know if everything is true about what me reseller told me.

    Just sharing what i've been trough .......

    All my devices gone now! Virtual Devices/Scenes/ZWave!

    6 months+ of configuration/lua code all down the drain in a click of your fingers!

    Fibaro must work on export backup on other HC2.

    Seem to forget it is 90% our time being wasted here and 10% Fibaro! I am furious!

    That is not a solutions for me. Because I don't have homeseer licence, and don't wan't change if my hc2 have problem.
