Update 3.901 ALPHA for HC2

HC2 3.901 Alpha

Alpha version is designed for user testing.

Installation shall be performed only after reading and fully accepting following terms.

CHANGELOG

- introduction to the plugins (Denon Amplifier, LG Bluray, ONKYO Amplifier, Philips Bluray, Pioneer Amplifier, Samsung TV, Sonos, Sony Bluray, Sony TV)

- new improved Z-Wave engine

- cooperation with Z-Wave locks

- extended functionality of sensors (tamper support)

- extended support of Fibaro Smoke Sensor

- extended support of Fibaro Motion Sensor

- possibility of hiding devices

- possibility of disabling devices

- multithreading

- many backend improvements

IMPORTANT

In order to update to 3.901 alpha Home Center 2 must be first updated to version 3.591 beta.

It is recommended to make a backup before updating to alpha version.

Downgrading back to stable requires full recovery and restoring backup.

UPDATE PROCESS

1. To update to alpha make sure that you are locally logged as admin on your HC2.

2. Type the following address in your web browser:

http:///services/startAlphaUpgrade.php?key=

and press Enter.

3. Update screen with progress bar should appear.

Please be patient whilst update to alpha version as it takes more time than usually because of conversion process.

Is there a reason why in Time Zones (config) North Dakota (not a time zone) is listed multiple times along with several other states. I know the US is big, but we only have 10 time zones.

Currently I'm running 3.901 and it seems to be working great. When a new general availability version comes out, will my config convert/upgrade to that new version or will I have to wipe and start from scratch? Just curious before I get crazy configuring scenes and such.

mmdonnelly, we are still changing many aspect of system, when we are adding support for device it may need reconfigure to start use new settings, and that can change device id if device id is different then you need edit scenes/VD,

I have tested it with Remotec zxt-120, it is able to control the temperature of IR-controlled Air Con with some bugs.

In the dashboard it shows as a thermostat, with the current temp and target temperature and the AC modes.

For modes, it only shows undefined for most item and one shows the cooling mode.

There are no ON or OFF button, so you can only turn on the AC by changing the temp or changing the mode to Cooling mode. I am not able to turn of the AC.

Also the battery level is incorrect, it shows empty even I plug with USB power, causing battery alert on the whole system.

Please fix this bug as you come so close to fully support all IR AC units without any coding or without any wire!

I've tried the first alpha. It converted only half of my devices, so it was unusable. Though the working part looked promising. Support knows about the problem. Many bugs have been reported at

There are 23 bugs reported in 3 months...that's not so much.

As far as i can see they have some new employees, i see some names i never saw before.

Everything is very stable now so i'm not really waiting but an update about things going on could be interesting .....

Hi! I've just installed the alpha, every went well all my configuration is appearing except that all my devices have new nodes ids and therfore I have no control on them. I have restored my backup reinstalled the alphaa seconde time but it's still the same. Conversion probem? Did anybody else had the same issue?
