Update 3.901 ALPHA for HC2

HC2 3.901 Alpha

Alpha version is designed for user testing.

Installation shall be performed only after reading and fully accepting following terms.

CHANGELOG

- introduction to the plugins (Denon Amplifier, LG Bluray, ONKYO Amplifier, Philips Bluray, Pioneer Amplifier, Samsung TV, Sonos, Sony Bluray, Sony TV)

- new improved Z-Wave engine

- cooperation with Z-Wave locks

- extended functionality of sensors (tamper support)

- extended support of Fibaro Smoke Sensor

- extended support of Fibaro Motion Sensor

- possibility of hiding devices

- possibility of disabling devices

- multithreading

- many backend improvements

IMPORTANT

In order to update to 3.901 alpha Home Center 2 must be first updated to version 3.591 beta.

It is recommended to make a backup before updating to alpha version.

Downgrading back to stable requires full recovery and restoring backup.

UPDATE PROCESS

1. To update to alpha make sure that you are locally logged as admin on your HC2.

2. Type the following address in your web browser:

http:///services/startAlphaUpgrade.php?key=

and press Enter.

3. Update screen with progress bar should appear.

Please be patient whilst update to alpha version as it takes more time than usually because of conversion process.

I cannot get my HC2 in recovery mode... can someone help me? When I hold the + button and reconnect the power. The LED run the other way than normal. When it is full, it stays that way and nothing happens... the box is not available either.

No I haven't, will try...

But I will wait now till after the remote sessions with Fibaro. As they want to build support for the Greenwave power measurements

my HC2 showed ver 4.010 on screen and all my devices have dissapeared

rebooted and now shows 3.901 however my devices are still missing

For me i've now zombie devices, all my smoke sensors are containing now 2 childs '1 alarm and one temperature'

I'm waiting the access on Bug tracker to see what is already there.

This is not a bug. This is superb solution! Now you can make difference between smoke and temperature alarms, also use smoke sensor to adjust heating etc. If you go to advanced menu then you can hide or block these devices if they annoy you.

Good news.

This means also the Ezmotion sensor will show the child devices?

Tane, I would recommend not to update for your own home HC2... it is not very usable. Or do you want to test something specific?

Testing....

I have a HCL running for the main systems.

Hope the next version will be more stabile.

Like to test the multimedia possibilities..

And I'm wondering if the plugins is modules so can be updated whit out the need of updating the in their HC2 system?

Need to go back since gateway connection is not working

U can't us old backup from earlier firmwares, it is way u can't se them in backup in alpha, but if u do a system recovery and and update box to latest stable firmware then u can us the old backups agen in system backup settings

going back for this evening..

fin out that for the gateway connection you also need new firmware on the HCL

All back to 3.591.

Some nice options got wrk fibaro.

Icons that I have uploaded are lost..

    Recovery was fine..

    Will move all my devices to the HCL for more testing the HC2

    new concept is amazing.

    Will the Roomba plugin use the RooWifi?
