Update 3.901 ALPHA for HC2

HC2 3.901 Alpha

Alpha version is designed for user testing.

Installation shall be performed only after reading and fully accepting following terms.

CHANGELOG

- introduction to the plugins (Denon Amplifier, LG Bluray, ONKYO Amplifier, Philips Bluray, Pioneer Amplifier, Samsung TV, Sonos, Sony Bluray, Sony TV)

- new improved Z-Wave engine

- cooperation with Z-Wave locks

- extended functionality of sensors (tamper support)

- extended support of Fibaro Smoke Sensor

- extended support of Fibaro Motion Sensor

- possibility of hiding devices

- possibility of disabling devices

- multithreading

- many backend improvements

IMPORTANT

In order to update to 3.901 alpha Home Center 2 must be first updated to version 3.591 beta.

It is recommended to make a backup before updating to alpha version.

Downgrading back to stable requires full recovery and restoring backup.

UPDATE PROCESS

1. To update to alpha make sure that you are locally logged as admin on your HC2.

2. Type the following address in your web browser:

http:///services/startAlphaUpgrade.php?key=

and press Enter.

3. Update screen with progress bar should appear.

Please be patient whilst update to alpha version as it takes more time than usually because of conversion process.

I really hope it is designed that we can create our own plugins , If not that would really be a shame . With the power of this community Fibaro would get even better.

For me, everything seems ok, but sceneactivation from dimmers stopped working.

I have this scene:

I have now installed the Alpha version. How can I help to get the full support for the greenwave power strip?

mhh, I got many dead device. Devices not updating status and all the sensors now have all child devices double.

- Sonos is only half supported.

- Philips smart tv is not supported.

- multimedia devices not available to control in Scenes (not lua or graphic).

- Greenwave devices not even the first plug is updated anymore..

- API has changed. So many external applications don't work

- Alarm still not visible in dashboard

+ Smoke sensor now has "blackbox" functionality

Oh and there seems to be something quite wrong with the wattage... the light is off but using a lot! and strange kwh..

that is introdusion so not all our mulimedia plugins are in that firmware

in blocks yes you can't use them but in lua you can (hints from the left menu are not completed but functions are working)

Thanks for your response! oh, I am sometimes a little hard in the feedback, but better feedback than no response right? I think you guys are doing great work and I know it is not easy to build so just trying to help

for the sonos, being able to group other sonos devices that you have in the FIbaro system should be possible...

One great item that should be possible but maybe still difficult. You have probably tried sending the google translate to the sonos?! that works great... if that could be implemented, or a lili like audi stream to the sonos. than it could be implemented in scenes. Than you can just select a notification and have it send to the sonos system...

If you press reconfigure device. most things are removed and it is seen as a whole new device Which is called Main_Zwave_device with not working (values not showing) child devices.

And the system is very very slow! it has removed several devices and some are just dead and won't wake up.

- yes right now horstamnn not working with heating panel

- how you get that power values? what that is a device?

- yes that is not bug now every zwave device as a father got that device, when device is configured then it is hidden, so when you reconfiguration device old device is removed from hc2 and you see zwave device, next zwave adding it again to system , when it will be complete zwave device will be hidden again

The power happens when I switch a device from the greenwave power strip on or off.

The horstmann is not shown as a device at all any more but as this:

So also no child devices, and not possible to change the temp. ALso icons can't be found by the system

go to configuration -> zwave-> and chek on autoconfiguration for batery devices, next wakeup horstamnn rest will zwave will do

Do anybody known if this Fibaro HC2 firmware coms whit a new remote update firmware?. If yes what firmware update do it haw? Fibaro wall plug?

Andrew - do Fibaro plan on allowing device buttons to be overridden. For example the Power button on the Samsung TV plugin needs to be redirected to send a command to a Global Cache IP2IR? (As samsung TV does not support WOL).

Also, is it possible to add buttons to a plugin? For example the Fibaro standard SamsungTV plugin does not have dedicated SLEEP or PICTURE MODE buttons (both useful functions).

Finally - is a Philips Hue plugin planned?

Is there a list which Denon receivers are supported? I've got a AVR-1912 which i had hooked up with other scripts just fine but the plugin for denon doesn't do much at all. Cant even turn it on or off. My settings are fine, i can use the web panel of the denon just fine and use it when its turned off too.
