Hi all,

I just wanted to share that I'm now using again the Imperihome app with Fibaro HC2 and I'm very staisfied.

Before having a Fibaro HC2 I had a Vera gateway and I used the ImperiHome app with lot's of success... unfortunately when I changed to Fibaro at the time the only APP that was available was from Fibaro.

The Fibaro APP is very good but it falls short delivering costumized dashboards and widgets so I missed a lot of functionality until yesterday when I was checking the ImperiHome Website after more than 2 years and found that the Fibaro system is compatible synce this summer.

I'm very happy because Imperihome allows me to integrate several home automation systems and access other apps otherwise only available as plugins or not at all in the Fibaro system, and above all it allows me to have a dedicated dashboard in a old wall mounted Android tablet.

It's far from prefect because I noticed they didn't integrate the smart thermostat function from Fibaro and I was unnable to get data from the Aeon Labs HEM connected to Fibaro (I've some doubts it is functioning correctly in Fibaro also!). But if the support for these functions doesn't improve I can connect them to my old Vera where I now they work brillantly.

Thanks Fibaro for publishing the API and Imperihome for developing the integration... I hope it won't break!

    Don't know.

I've no luck with the Fibaro App in iphone, my Iphone display pop up messages but doesn't provide any messages in the Fibaro App itself, and I don't recall if the Android App is doing it correctly.

Sounds very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

I also have ImperiHome pro on my mobile phone and I like it too!

Now I am looking for an affordable tablet (Android) and a nice wall mount with a good WAF

The best value for money tablet I found is the Lenovo A2 10 Inch - £150 on very.co.uk. My requirements were around 10", HD screen, decent processor, more than 1GB Ram.

After a lot of research I ended up with the Vogel tablet mount:

I've ordered recently also the Vogel mentioned above from Amazon but I didn't tried it yet because I'm figuring out where I will put it.

I didn't opened the box but it doesn't seems to be very slim:

I'm considering also something like this

Right now I'm using a cradle and is desktop mounted:

I can also modify my cradle in order to mount it in a wall.

Based on the recommendation from pmviana I went for the Android App and I have to say I'm very impressed.  Not all Fibaro Widgets are supported yet i.e. I could do with native thermostat support.

I am running the App on a SAMSUNG GALAXY 4 10.1" tablet and intend to mount it flush in the wall with one of these flush mounts that I will be picking up later in the week -

I can let you know how I find it if you like?

I have also ordered a cheap Mini MX S905 Android TV box from eBay that I want to try and use with my in-wall mounted 15" touchscreen monitor, that's assuming I can get the drivers to work with Android....

One minor update: the ImperiHome app is now reporting my energy consumption through Fibaro connected Aeon Labs HEM.

If the readings are reliable... I think not but if Fibaro fixes this in the next release... it would be great!

I also looked into the koala, but:

    - think about how it will look when the tablet is not sitting on it; I like the simple look of the Vogel better

    - when the tablet is mounted with the vogel it only seems like it sticks out from the wall about 10-15mm (I'm sure specs say this and that it will be obvious when I check next time) which is fine as it gives you something to grab when you rotate the screen. More importantly it doesn't stick out so much that it looks bad.

    - what do you do with the koala if you have to (or want to) rotate the screen? I have 3CX intercomm installed and the android app only runs in portrait, so i don't have a choice.

    - what do you do when you buy a 2nd tablet that isn't the same size? with the Vogel you can mount anything, your mobile phone and/or tablet

I know, it probably sounds like I get a commission from Vogel, which I don't

Please login or register to see this image.

/emoticons/default_icon_razz.gif" alt=":-P" />. It took me a long time to get there, but in the end the Vogel won for me as it's the most versatile, very simple to install and is flexible in supporting different tablet sizes

Looks amazingly cool, but I have android and what happens when you upgrade your tablet to a different size? I suppose that isn't a problem with ipad, do they stay the same size from model to model?

Hi! I'm using Imperihome too and I'm happy with it, but only when I'm at home, e.g. I'm on my network... I would like to know if one of you guys managed to make it work for external access... i forwarded the ports thanks to no-ip.org... port forwarding seems fine to me, since I can access my Fibaro on my Chrome browser... but I didnt manage to make it work on Imperihome... Any help would be much appreciated!!

    That looks fab ☺☺☺

I'm not familiar with that product but was wondering why you wouldn't use a standard tablet, I have a Samsung tab4 10 on the wall in the kitchen and spme others dotted around the house but was wondering should I be looking at something like this? ??

There will be a tutorial on the Fibarolife.com blog soon i think. It is a cheap IKEA Mossebo frame and the tablet is charged with a wireless tablet mounted in the back
