There will be a tutorial on the Fibarolife.com blog soon i think. It is a cheap IKEA Mossebo frame and the tablet is charged with a wireless tablet mounted in the back

The misses hates everything that resembles anything too nerdy so i had to compromise

Thanks pmviana. This is really a cool interface on tablet and thanks to you, we now have alternative option. I am just starting to explore this but it looks promising as I have been holding back on setting up touch screens/tablets around the home to control the automation.

Here is a preview of what I have been building up except the final stage - a cool interface on tablet (until now):

  • iPad Air 2 or iPad Mini 4 (with Touch ID)
  • PROPER iPad Air 2/Mini 4 Wall Mount (or Desk Mount)
  • (NEW) ImperiHome app/interface

How I vision it will be at my place:

Probably with some minor works, it can even be flush within dry wall or cabinet or table top.  ;-)

Your idea got me excited and restart this 'project' again.

I'm also using the ImperiHome app on a wall mounted Android 10" device. I love the graphs, it's al lot better then the Fibaro app, although my energy graphs don't work.

For backing up the configuration I use the KDE connect app, to save it directly to a map on my computer (or another android device) instead of sending it with email.

This is a nice feature of Imperihome which I stumbled on hidden away, it also has a plugin for Android Tasker  -

The HTTP REST Control API has been introduced in

You'll be redirected to the API documentation, and you'll be able to test it directly from the included sandbox.
You can also see the doc directly in the second "API" tab of this page.

Hi

Has anybody successfully used a scene to toggle a multistate image in imperihome

I have a single scene the sets and unsets my alarm

Is there anyway to have it display one image for when my alarm is set and another when it is unset.

Its a similar idea to when you turn a light on and off in imperihome from the devices tab

thx

For those who encountered in-app purchase error "This item is currently being modified. Please try again later." for days, just want to help developer share the news that it has now been resolved.

This issue should have affected countries which are undergoing price-tier adjustment initiated by Apple.

Does the pro version allow the use of heating panel? holiday modes etc?

Posted

I haven't seen the holiday mode but other than that I'm very happy with imperihome

Here are some of my screens on my main tablet - samsung Tab 4 10" (attached)

The only gap I see if being able to toggle an "imperihome two state image" through a scene in the dashboard

... just my two cents.

You sure it's not the api calls from this causing you memory issues

That's an interesting point Piotr, I didn't think of that .. plus I have three tablets dotted around that but but not as laden with information as the one I posted pictures of. (is there anyway I can see how many api calls are being made to the system. I definitely have some glitch and thanks to Peter G I have a good few things to check. All scenes are disabled at the moment but I will re-write and standardise each one before bringing each back 'active' and monitoring the memory

The memory has stabilised at 30% usage so that looks like my operational baseline. CPU is sub 10% most of the time

Some stats ......

- 23 scenes -  all disabled

- Active devicesin the UI = 138

------- approx 20 of these are VD, mainly Sonos

- Hidden devices from the UI - 178 (64 of these are from one of the alarm plugins that I don't need and can't find a way to un-install )

- 17 global variables mirrored from my Siemens alarm gateway to the HC2

I need to pick my way through the devices as some are extra that I don't need and I can disable. These would be things like the two inputs from a Binary Sensor that I am not using as they are used for monitoring temp only but you get all six when you include the UBS

I am beginning to think that 30% may be okay with what I have

What do people think or how does this compare to what other people have installed

Thanks

I use 49% ram with main controller... 2 gateways... 120 devices of which approx 40 are on gateways... 54 scenes all running... 10 vd including 1 sonos tts/mp3

that's an interesting comparison... it looks like my 30-40% may not be too bad provides it stays at that and doesn't climb

I have started the clean up ., will let you know what I finf out

BTW- It may be a silly question but what gateways are you using and why do you have them .. are they to extend the reach, load balance the system or provide a backup should the main controller crash ?

i have HC2 in lounge which controls all ground floor inside property

1 x HCL in Garage which controls Garage + Garden devices

1 x HCL in loft/attic which controls all 1st floor devices

My aim was to limit solid construction (walls) to ensure direct communication on as many devices as possible (NO MESH) and it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much more reliable!

If by any chance someone unplugs a device from the wall for a few days my house does not go into meltdown stopping other devices working etc...

so HC2 communicates by the built in gateway function to HCLs showing devices as they would look if on 1 main controller!

Nice approach and much cleaner setup for multi-floors and long distance placements.

Yes Piotr, that sounds like a fab setup. If I was to invest in a HCL as well can I migrate devices already included to the HCL or would I have to exclude/include to get them setup on the secondary controller?

good question!

good question... i know i managed to copy the zwave devices to a vera edge! so cannot see why you could not do the same for hcl! after all it was the fibaro zwave options i used to transfer to a 3rd part controller!

so ill bite the bullet and say yes!

that's a positive that they dont seem to need full exclusion/inclusion.

It might make sense for my garage/back garden zwave devices as the garage is about 20ft from the house

must look into it more and also see if funding is available from the boss of the house   :->  :->  :->  :->

hello, i need a quick feedback from you guys. I loved the imperihome interface seen in this post and i bought 2 licenses both for iOS and android. I have an issue, once i installed imperihome on my tablets i tried some features and building some interfaces...worked ok, then i added 4 scenes on my HC2 ( version 4.071) and they are not visible in imperihome. i tried refreshing, uninstall and reinstall the HC2 from imperihome, even uninstall and reinstall the application from tablets but nothing, Imperihome sees the scenes previously created ( 4.xxx, don't remember what release) but does not see the scene i just created ( 4.071). i also wrote to the support 15 days ago but no answer so far...

Did you use a separate HC2 user account, instead of the default admin,  for controlling your devices with ImperiHome?

(This should be the case for security reasons)

If so, all new devices, VD and scenes must be granted access to the account in the HC2 (Home Center Configuration --> Access Control --> Userbutton edit --> edit access rights

If not, let me know, I will do some testing with my ImperiHome.

EDIT: I tested it, and in my case it is working. Please don't forget to update the device in ImperiHome by using the 'update spinner' on the right top corner.

Hi,

Does any notice a long lag between changing the state of a switch in the HC2 web app and when this state change is reflected in the imperihome dashboard.

If I turn on a switch in the web app I can see the state (OFF-ON) immediatly but it could take 5 or 6 seconds to register that change in imperihome

I'm not sure if it's a refresh rate issue or a very slow API call between IMP and HC2

Anybody seeing this as well?

any suggestions to increase performance ?

I didn't try creating a web page (to reflect the status) and displaying that through IMP yet and think that may be my next move if I can solve this issue above ?

The other option was to just move to OpenRemote and see if that would be better

if anybody has any positive or negative experience with Imperihome/webpage/refresh rate or openremote refresh rate I'd be interested...
