Dear Fibaro, you offer one of the worst support services I have experienced so far. Its unacceptable not to be able to fix such a feature as a weather service for almost a month!!! Especially when this kind of service is one of the features of your system where other scenes can rely on it. This kind of error supposed to be fixed within a hours maximum few days!!! 

One day I will prepare promotion video how your system works in real life comparing to yours fancy promotion video full of lies you. 

 

One of the really upsets customers who spent 2000€+ on your devices.

Fixes like this are so simple under most circumstances. Small api changes (documented by service provider)

This should have been a hotfix and released days after report not months! As users state it can have huge impact on automation scenes.

This change was also well in advanced promoted by Yahoo for all to get the possibility to update there API. As I can see they promoted this well over 3 month before the actual change and Fibaro did just nothing...

There is a user/owner in Sweden who can not get the sunrise/sunset correct. Now I think that value comes from Yahoo also, but there is a user who get's changes in the sunset/sunrise times still. So the question is: How is HC2 getting Sunset/Sunrise? I would assume yahoo weather API...?

good to know but can you be more specific? i mean people on forums proven time and time again that they have good programming chops. if your team is stuck on it this badly and it is causing problems to virtually everyone you might want to (for expediency reasons) reach out to your community PM those whom have those skills to help and see if you can fix it. Worst case scenario contingency SHOULD have been to just get outsside programming team to fix it for you no later than 7 days since its discovery or annytime you realised it could take a while for your team to man up and repair it.

 

Please for sake of everyone's customers and helpdesks who get swamped by demmands on fixing this daily - do hurry up.

The script to place as the button code in VD is in post #23.

 

One has to replace API_KEY   with the key received from openweathermap.org

 

The location and language code has to be adjusted also in the code. 

NOTE: Because of weather definitions coded in Polish it is good to leave the language for Polish (at least for start).

 

 

There are some more fine tunes to be worked out, but in general the weather is updated with this VD.

 

Unfortunately I have no time to translate more into English. I hope you find it useful.

Ok, this is VD, which you should import.

Everything what you need to do is edit your API_KEY from openweathermap.com (you can get it for free) and modify city/country.

Of course, you can modify Labels in this VD.
