@Fibaro: I see some moves you made in the recent past and I am really happy that you do that. Really hope you can hold up that energy and keep on listening to the user base.

      15. (would say - maybe limit the number of new functionality so that new versions are out faster)

     

      new: provide hot fixes between stable versions (e.g. like the yahoo weather issue.... took very long to get a solution because there was no hot fix available...)

I still didn't vote and I will wait to see where this go. I was satisfied at the beginning, but not any more so much after 8 months. Deletion of devices by gateway on its own is very big issue and makes this system just a toy for children. Latest problems also with push messages and e-mails stop working, another BIG minus. My confidence is now completely lost in this system after second time HC2 deleted important devices.

 

If I vote now it would be completely negative on all accounts. Since I still have some confidence in Fibaro team (not gateway!!) that they are capable of resolving mentioned problems I decided to wait and give them a chance to make it more than just a toy.

+ 23 - More user control and advanced options for privacy related issues (use of custom emailserver, opt-out Google analytics, open access to HC2 by SSH etc.)

+ 24 - Support for common used protocols and devices (SMB/NFS, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, WOL for HC2 startup, BlueTooth-dongle support, external storage devices support etc.)

• better tooling for development (currently using external editor, copy/paste and git for version control) - for Lua scripts
• better debugging facilities, basic stuff like stepping through code!! Off-machine emulator would be nice

• remove the restrictions on using certain functions in Virtual Devices (json, network) and allow them to be used anywhere

Finally after one year of playing with my Fibaro devices I can add my votes to this thread. My HC2 had some hiccups in the past but now I know most of them were caused by me  Maybe that could be avoided if there is better guides with examples how to than just so basic and mostly unhelpful

 especially for novices. Is it so hard to add some better explanation of functions and more examples over there?

 

So Q1 reflects that I'am satisfied with current box. My HC is stable especially when I'm away on work so I can't play with it  It works smoothly for hole month without any problems, maybe just little ones but solely caused by me! Maybe it is because I use only one scene running all the time? Maybe it is because I reduced network traffic by moving refresh code for HUE lamps from main loop to button? I can't really prove that, but before doing so I had same problems that are repeatedly posted here under Community support. I still have few sensors that are not so reliable like one Fibaro motion sensor and three Fibaro door/window sensors, but thats about it. 

 

Q2 reflects my wishes for the future, hopefully not distant one!

 

Q3 well, I'am still learning and there is a lot to digest with LUA.

Since Fibaro staff claims that its important to get feedback ill make damn sure they do .)

It is for the good of community. It is for the good fo system and it is for the good of Fibaro.

 

Allso i think its worth to make some statistics every once in a while to help people see trends. Please can you do recount, as mentioned before i am not so sure about few relatively recent posts - i LOVED your previously comprehenssive stats complete with charts.
