Hi i ve problem to link my account with new way to log in online (remote access) to my fibaro

I get the message like that : " HC already added by other user. Please contact tech support "

Please help me

If you can not do this from directly connecting to your controller (automatic process of migration according to Fibaro) than you can try alternative methods:

 

Assuming you can still connect to the old home.fibaro.com (you just have to use the blue text rather than login bit, and this solution might not work after February is done) - there you remove your unit and you should be able to add it into your new account.

If this is not an option, contact [email protected] and explain the situation to them, they will be able to remove your unit and or allocate it to ID.cloud

was [email protected] the email you previously used to create Fibaro login or a new one? Have you migrated the old account?

You do not have to create a new user, as I believe you have done, but instead migrate your old one by using the received email from Fibaro.

So many people has created a new user ID thinking that later their HC magically appeared in that new account.

Anyhow if that is the case (newly created ID from zero) forget the new created ID and restart the migration from the received email.

    In general if you provide Fibaro support with photo of physicall unit with its MAC and Serial number they will be able to remove it from wherever it is added. It usually goes quite fast too.

    So unless they managed to man up and reply to you in meanwhile you can try that.

    Same problem with my HC2 after account migration. Have no remote access since account migration in January 2017 - only local access. Send mail to fibaro support. Still waiting for reaction.
    During migration I have to change my username. New account was registered. The "old account" is still there where my HC2 is added to. Lost password not working: "Old account" no longer existing .. dead end !

    Could Fibaro support could please just delete my old account and doing so "release my HC2" to be added to the new account ? More info via PN.

    It is interesting how some people have problems with HC box. I have my HC2 for over a year time and except some problems with devices I had never problems with upgrades or account settings. So, what I think is that you just clicked something wrong, but that is not your mistake but Fibaro's developer team because they just didn't anticipated possible wrong clicks and wrong procedures from users! ;) 

     

    That is why beta testing exists :D The best testers are still users who are not informed properly how to do things so they are clicking until something happens, good or bad. Usually it is bad unfortunately, but that bad helps improvement of the software! That is why I'm not good beta tester :P (last sentence goes to some forum members and they know who they are)

    Yes.. but change log often so lacking in expanded infomation, new features are trial and error because there are no instructions.

    When I see a queston on here and dont know the awnser I do my best to find a solution both here or searching the net.

    The awnser is very seldom from a offical fibaro source.

    Although Elearning and device instructions are good they dont seem to get updated.

    Well, I don't have any more available information than the rest of the users, but still I never had to do a complete recovery or even partly recovery and in more than one year time I restored backup only twice when HC2 deleted some devices. Now when I think back, this happened probably because I did something wrong and problem is only that system allowed me to do that mistake. Luckily, restore backup works neat! :D (but of course if you do regular backups so have something to restore! ;)

     

    I have two books on my table (besides before mentioned two iMacs ;) ) one is 'Z-wave basics' by Christian Paetz and another is 'Programming in Lua' by Roberto Ierusalimschy. I admit that I didn't read them from cover to cover, but I consult them if @petergebruers and few other experienced users are not available ;)

    @Jamie mccrostie,

    Did you write that as excuse or? HA is about computers, automation and programming. It is definitely not about car repairs or building construction :) I don't repair my car, I visit service. But even if I decide to repair my carf, I will first learn about it otherwise after my repair I would probably need a new car :P

     

    BTW, how many of users here have those two books I mentioned in my previous post?

    Question to you: did your friend removed his account and after that restored HC to factory settings before it was handed to you? Deleting applications from mobile devices probably is not enough.

    @SankotronicNo I wrote it secrately knowing I'd get a bite, naughty of me I know.

    Your missing my point Hc2 doesn't have good instructions for its new features.
