associating aeotec wallmote / fibaro dimmers / homecenter lite

Question

Goodmorning,

Please help me in the right direction.

I bought a aeotec wallmote (4 buttons) and would like to use this wallmote to turn on / dim a set of lights (two fibaro dimmers 2).

However I get lost in setting associations (endpoint, groups, master / slave / single / multi.

I searched for a good explanation, but I couldn't find helpful documentation.

I looked at

  • wallmote documentation (groups and controls =

    )
  • fibaro e-learning (

    )

It's not completely clear to me how I configure the associations correctly:

  • I have multiple 'wallmotes' (wallmote master, wallmote 0 - 4). I assume i have to set the association per wallmote button (device)? e.g. wallmote 1 (at this place the wallmote 1 is not available itself in the associations tab?
  • You have the M and S buttons (I assume Master and Slave). How do I have to configure this?
  • You have endpoint 0 and endpoint 1. What exactly is the difference. Is this fibaro specific (in the documentation of the

    as well as

    i cannot find this
  • Shoud i use single or multi? and where can I configure this?

I really appreciate your reply!

Specific tips related to this configuration or if you have good documentation avalaible about setting associations in general on the fibaro (endpoints, groups, M / S, best practices) are appreciated!

Best regards,

Roel

Hi, looking for exactly the same, but Spanish link not working. Anyone have a step by step guide to setup dimming with wallmote on fibaro HC2?

I now have 5 devices ( ID:135)

135.0

135.1

135.2

135.3

135.4

135.0 is master, the rest is slaves

Under assosiation i have 9 groups (1 lifeline and 2 for each button)

Tried both S and M on my dimmer (Stue Tak, Stue=Livingroom)

Also set Group 2 for On/off( is this correct?)

On and Off working very good, but I am not able to get dimming working

Tried setting parameter 4 to 3 ( seen other post saying that this might help) but no luck

If I go to assosiations under ex. 135.1, I see three group. What are they for? Looks like they only show 3 groups for each button ( Lifeline, on/off and dimming)

- I see that the wallmote detects pressing and holding/releasing (icon changing), but nothing happens when I hold and drag

Hi!

If you want the firts button (up left) to control a dimmer, then set the dimmer into the 3 group in the master and after you save, wake up the wallmote by pressing the button in the back (until the light turns yellow)

here is the list of the groups:
