Automatic Change of Language from EN to ET

Question

Posted

I am not sure if this behaviour started with 4.134 or 4135. On a few occasions, the web GUI has automatically switched from En to Et. Just happened again and it was after performing a backup and the GUI refresh to language Et when it completed backup. Is anyone else experiencing similar behaviour?

Hello,

No, we did not encounter any such behavior.

Do you remember when it happened beside after creating backup?

Hi @chaicka,

Could you check which languages are detected in your browser by PHP?

Maybe your browser identifies itself wrongly?

Another probable cause for such behavior may be the fact that you copied some LUA code, or downloaded the VD which has a reference to ET language:

    I do not think so as I have only encounter this intermittent/random wrong language issue with Home Center, no other websites or appliances have I encounter this. Attached is the screenshot of language detected.

    It is quite unlikely as I have not copy or add any new scenes or VDs for a long time (way before 4.13x series). I can run a check but I generally do not copy and paste entire piece of codes into Home Center. Even if I do reference, I will use text editor to line by line construct and understand part by part what it does. That way, I won't accidentally create a mess without knowing where to look or how to troubleshoot. I also generally hate using hard-coded lines in scripts or programming. The only time I think I did with any codes in Home Center is for reference to image file on Home Center such as push notification or interactive notification to use a particular icon/image on Home Center.

    @chaicka,

    It is possible it might be just a temporary issue.

    Could you change the language in General to English (even if you have English), and see if this happens again, from this moment?

    It has happened more than once, hence posting. And 4.135 is not the first time it happened.
