HCL String HTTP - ThingSpeak

Question

Hey Guys, 

 

Trying to send a HTTP String from my HCL VD but it's not working.. anyone see what I'm doing wrong,

Hi @DaveScout,

 

I understand that you hid your personal key just for the sake of privacy and security right? Otherwise it may be the reason.

 

Another issue is the empty parameter field1. Did you delete it just for the sake of this question or are you trying to send something like that?

 

Finally, such requests are made in a different way, example below:

You need to check your request from the browsers using Firebug (Firefox) or some other developer tools F12 (in Chrome).

 

Additional problem may be the HTTPS, implementation of the encrypted request may differ from standard HTTP.

  • The request works fine in a browser, sending the full string using HTTP works well.

     

    I did hide the key yes.

     

    The value of 'field=' is up to me, it's what I want to send. Either 1 or 0 it does not matter.

     

    Would it be possible for someone to kindly show me an example what my string would look like in that format?
