Are you sure? I have looked at the website and it says 499,= for the model HC2 which is again lowered to 459,=. I cannot find any price indication for the new HC3!?

Most important of all will the software of fibaro be stable.

Can we upgrade easy from HC2 to HC3?

It would be nice if they make plugins again so our top developers can use it.

When can we expect a side-by-side comparison of HC2 to HC3, both HW and SW? I am looking forward to the first tests (by users!) of:

- Upgrading from HC2 to HC3

- Comparing performance and stability of the two systems

- The new user interface

But first someone needs to get their hands on a real-world HC3 to start testing. When you do, please share your experiences!

Will Fibaro offer a migration procedure from HC2 to HC3? (Probably nobody knows yet)

The HC3 is now in plastic and no longer in aluminum, which gives it a less premium look.

What would make me happy is ...

  • An (new) app for tablets
  • A trade-in program from the HC2/Lite to HC3

Yes, Fibaro has assigned a group of beta testers. AFAIK the "communication ban" has not been lifted so I don't think you'll get much response from them... Maybe some "leaks" ;)

in my opinion it does actually look / feels much more premium than HC2, the plastic is not cheap made.

sure, no big deal (v4.5 is already a preparation for HC3 migration)

it is ARM based, much more easier to control is a task died, therefore even if something hangs, it will restart automatically.
I don't wan't to talk about other things that Fibaro implemented to increase the stability, but actually it runs better already, and light years better that v4 ever did.

oh well, more user friendly, for sure. For power users bit more clicks to find something, but that's better for typical users.

For us here in Germany was more important that HC3 got VDE certification, no VDE on HC2 was kind of showstopper for some Projects.
