Smart Implant & Hikvision DVR Alarm Output

Hi all... I have purchased a Smart Implant to add to my HC2 so that I can capture the Alarm Output from my Hikvision DVR. The aim of this exercise is to capture the alarm breach from my DVR when someone crosses my drive which is monitored by a CCTV camera. The camera is setup to generate a alarm output signal which I believe can be captured by Smart Implant and trigger an action on HC2. I have successfully included the Smart Implant into HC2. I have connected the cable marked IN1 to Alarm 1 Output and GND cable to G 1 Output on the DVR. However, it is not picking up anything. Have I connected the correct cables?? I Think you're alarm output is an potential free contact.

So you have to apply a power adapter.

If you have a multi--meter you could measure the contacts.

 

Somebody connected a sirene to the outputs.

Sounds that HW connections are OK.

Did you configure the DVR correctly, I mean your video from CCTV camera to trigger alarm.

In addition please check alarm's state on Smart Implant and DVR (Normally close or open)

Thanks.. the CCTV has been setup to sending out alarm signal.. however, something doesn't seem to be right with the config of Smart Implant.. any changes I try to apply to it result in parameter value sending failed error... will try and reconfig..

So for the life of me, I can't find parameter 20 in the device either. And I know that DVR is set to send out a signal. In the Smart Implant, should I select Binary Input NC/NO, Analogue Input (w/o pull up)/(w/ pull up), Mono stable, Bistable.

Try to wire the inputs from the smart implant, to the power suply of the smart implant.

Then you can test if you're smart implant set-up is correct.

 

I think that parameter 20 is changed for input configuration.

Sorry... what do you mean by input from the smart implant to the power supply of the smart implat?? At present, the power and GND are connected to the power connector from the power supply.. the output from the DVR is connected to IN1 and GND.

Do the wiring acording to the manual.

Attention.

The switches are in the GND line.

That means that you dont feed power to the Input of the smart implant, but you connect the input to the GND. see image.

You can use wires to simulate a switch.

Ok.. so you are saying..

1. unplug the cables from DVR.

2. Take the existing cable I have to GND and add 1 more cable to it.

3. Switch the device back on.

Now if I touch the cable I have added in step 2 to the cable frm the IN1, it should simulate the signal that Smart Implant needs??

Correct,

If you connect you're extra cable from "GND" to  the cable from "IN1" or "IN2" the smart implant should give an reaction in you're HC2

cool... So in that case, once confirmed, should I put the In from DVR to IN and G to G on the Smart Implant..? Is that what I have done wrong?? I have put the second G into the DVR... the one next to Power is connected to neutral

I, m not sure because I don't know what the DVR is switching.

That's why I said try only the smart implant so as written in the manual.

As it works then you can look for the next step.

If it works you can try to connect it like you're second drawing. But I would buy a cheap multi meter, before you destroy you're implant.

A multi meter always come in handy.

Sorry. No.. Haven't had a chance to get back to this as have other priorities took over the time.. I hope to get back to this in a week or so. Will reply back when I get to this.
