Question

Hi,

I have HC3 which have random reboots with following notification "The system recovered from an unexpected error".
I searched and I founf that this was promised
to be solved by Fibaro at sw version 5.120. I am now on version 5.130.64, but still getting this problem with random rebooting.

Is there anything I can do to resolve ??

So my new HC3 started to show the same behavior as my old, and starting to reboot/loose network connection for a few minutes.
I have asked Fibaro to apply the same fix as my old HC3 to test and see if that solves the problem too.

Im happy ,that this is being still under attention, Im facing unexpected reboots since months, support was not able to help so far, recommended the HC3 replacement what I had to reject due to all the automation and many modules connected.

If I understand you correctly, it seems not to be HW related, but SW related ?

At this moment I don’t know it it is hardware or software, it could be a software fix for a hardware problem.
Only Fibaro could tell us what the source of the issue is.

You can ask @m.roszak to apply the fix to your HC3 too to test and see if the problem is solved.

I think the fix is stable enough after over 2 months.
I might have had one restart but I am not 100% sure about that.

But things seems very stable now.

I can share my experiences on this topic too. We have uploaded hotfix on some of our customer's installations (5 customers so far), and over more than a month there was not a single crash or reboot. Seems promising.

I also have many reboots with a box, I replaced it with a new one and the reboots disappeared.

On the old HC3 they persist, even though there is no device and just a single QA which controls and signals reboots.

Will this path be released in a future version...?

I also bought a new HC3 and that looked promissing, but after a while it also started rebooting/crashing.
So they also applied this fix to the new HC3, stable ever since.

I think now we have reported it is working they will integrate it into an Beta and finally official release.
