Question

Posted

Good morning,

I want to automate the light in my garage which today works with 2 neon lights and 3 push buttons on a remote control switch.

The idea:

Remove the remote switch, and installation of EUTONOMY D212NP in din format directly on the electrical panel.

Modification of the neon strip (remove ballast and starter), and put dimmable led tubes instead.

They will be dimmable, although I may not use them! I will test...

I'm not an electrician, I have some basics, and have a multimeter and a phase (voltage) tester, and wago ;-)

Before any modification, I seek the opinion of those who control to avoid problems, or error, confusion.

The circuit breaker:

Powers the remote switch (phase and neutral), and a neutral that goes to the bulb

The switch:

I have a phase (1) and a neutral (A1) which from the circuit breaker feeds the remote switch.

Then I have a wire (2) to go to the bulb ~ and the other (A2) for the buttons (B)

But I dry up miserably on the wire of the buttons (A2) which I have left on the remote control.

I'm not sure of myself!

How would you plug it into the euFIX D212?

On the image of the electrical diagram, the button seems to me to be toggled with one or the other, that's where it bothers me...

I have 3 push buttons, so I don't know how to connect my button wire (A2) to the euFIX D212

If you aren’t an electrician, I wouldn’t recommend modifications directly on the electrical panel.

@kalypso44

So, as the colleague before me said.
If you don't know how to do it, call a professional electrician!
On one question, Google returned a fairly clear scheme.

Use the push-button switch to switch the phase to input A2 of the impulse relay.
For your purposes, this means disconnecting the phase from the original button, connecting the Sx terminal of the FGD module instead. On the second field of the button, you will have the wire, originally connected to A2. Leave it connected in the button, disconnect it from A2 of the impulse relay and connect it to terminal S1 of the FGD.

Again, if you don't know what you're doing, call a professional. It's about having or living.

Thank you for your precious help Non-existent, for a forum dedicated to Fibaro products...

I didn't get an answer here.

But hey, I'm not sorry, I give the solution to those who are interested:

    Small change:

I did not put the by-pass on the euFIX D212 module, but directly on the neon "strip", this avoids having a by-pass in the electrical panel.

    But useful clarification:

"You can connect your bypass in parallel with the bulb if you prefer, on the other hand for your neon in Led do not exceed the maximum 70w for variation and 50w for on/off."

And in particular to Sandrine C, for her precious help.

For the forum, I propose to mods, to classify this in a section dedicated to the assembly of a euFIX D212 + FGD212 module.

replacing a teleruptor, with push button.

    Ah... I don't see.
And what do you like a week back???
It describes exactly what you present here.

But I certainly thank you for everyone on the forum, a picture is certainly worth a thousand words... I didn't have the opportunity to draw a week ago, so there were 1000 words from me :)

The community is only as strong as the individuals contributing to it and the forum, so thanks again.
