IP cam snapshot file corrupt?

In the process of setting up an HC3 5.160.42 with some devices previously used on an HC2 system.   My problem is with the jpg file of the 'send photo to user' by email action. 

 

I'm using the same camera URL as in the HC2 and the preview shows fine, and the scene triggers fine, but the emailed attached file won't open in anything, and appears empty (shows 0kb in properties).

 

 Anyone experienced this issue?

When I send more than one picture from a camera really fast, I also get an empty picture in the mail. Like pictures from different scenes.

    Thanks  @SmartHomeEddy but I checked and I only have one scene sending one picture to one person so I don't think that's it.

    Still not working.  I've posted an update (of sorts) in the hope it gets noticed again and someone might be able to help as Support seem to have stopped responding. 

     

    In a nutshell this camera previews ok, BUT any image emailed to user shows as 0KB and won't open. The URL that is shown works in any browser when cut and pasted so surely must be correct.

     

    So why cant HC3 send a JPEG?

    Hoping this will get bumped up as still no solution nearly 3 months on.  Support have asked if I have upgraded to the latest firmware (yes), and if I have tried MPEG/MJPEG preview (yes) but are now ignoring my emails regard Ticket ID: 332436. 

     

    If I have a preview surely the URL must be correct why is the snapshot emailed to user unreadable (0kb)?  I have tried dozens of URL combinations and most variations of the above theme do give a preview, but NONE produce a picture file when emailed by HC3.

     

    Any advice welcome.

    Had in the past some troubles, with the cam view in the app. Also some emailing with 0kB pictures.

    Took my a while before i found out that my ethernet cable to the HC3 was broken.

    My connection excist on .

    Fixed ethernet on local home network. Wi-Fi connection on guest account.

    Dunno why but after fixing the ethernet connection everthing went back to normal.

    Maybe it helps.

    Sorry didn't realise I'd had this response.  This seems ok in my case.  Still waiting for Support to remote access and report.  Thanks anyway.
