Till now I've been holding off buying something similar (doorbell/intercom), but might now go for a Ring or so.

What will probably happen than, is that Fibaro will release the intercom :-/

Well I could not wait anymore and got myself a DoorBird. (

    This thing is amazing!

Some friends of mine have a Ring, but they come not even close to the performance of the DoorBird. (they all want to get a DoorBird now)

When the "button" is pushed I get a notification on my phone instantly! (With the Ring it sometimes takes up to 5 seconds. )

The voice and video from the DoorBird are also superior compared to the Ring.

And yes. I do get video in the Fibaro app!

    I'm using a Anviz M5 as Fingerprint & Card Reader (

Indeed Doorbird looks pretty cool ! I might invest in one for the farm and see what comes of the Fibaro one in the next 12 months for home, although they may have missed the boat, and it may just be vaporware ..

    Hi @Guest

I've seen a DoorBird Fibaro integration video in youtube. Uploader also described the integration info. Have you tried to integrate with Fibaro?

Once I got my DoorBird I'll try this as well.

Please login or register to see this link.

Here is the explanation of the uploader

Just to point you guys to the right direction... the Doorbird has notification request/events to subscribe to. For example, when you press the doorbell, or when the unlock (dooropen) button on the app is tapped, both are events that can be subscribed. When you subscribe to that event, you are defining the URL to fire when these events happen... An example URL to subscribe the dooropen event is as follows:

Please login or register to see this link.

Once this is subscribed, whenever the dooropen is pressed, the doorbird fire this URL

Please login or register to see this link.

.. In this way, both the dooropen and the doorbell event can make calls to the Fibaro for the integration... Hope this helps...

I have my DoorBird integrated with my HC2, and yes it works really well.

    (Video yes, but no audio!)

The last firmware for DoorBird does now also allow SIP too.

I did some testing with this and got it working together with my Asterisk (FreePBX) working.

Basically when someone pushes the button on the DoorBird, my home phone system will ring, and when I answer I can talk to them.

Till now I do not have any regrets getting a DoorBird.

The DoorBird Android app works perfect with video and audio (and opening the door)

With the Fibaro app I'm only able to get video to work (opening the door works also)

I only have Android devices here, so can not test it with IOS, but I'm sure this will work fine as this is the main reason of getting the DoorBird.

Can you share your VD/scene with us :)

I don't have the product yet. Just to examine the integration part beforehand..

I'm not behind the Fibaro system, but basically it's like this.

(note that all commands are entered in the webbrowser, and you only need to do this once as the "commands" are saved in the DoorBird itself)

    Motion Sensor: Start scenes 61

Please login or register to see this code.

Someone pushed the button: Start Scene 64

Please login or register to see this code.

Open the door from Doorbird:. Device 245 will be switched to ON.

Please login or register to see this code.

To access the video stream within HC2 use the following settings for adding a camera:

    Camera Model: Other model
    JPG path: bha-api/image.cgi

    MJPG stream path: bha-api/video.cgi

Obviously you will also need to set the IP, username and password :-)

More info about the DoorBird api can be found here (pdf)

Please login or register to see this link.

    Thanks for sharing @Guest .

And I got the following reply from the support. I think Fibaro Intercom will be announced at next CES2018. Just a thought...:)

There is no official date of release, there is high probability that, this device will be released by the end of this year, but I can’t promise you any precise date at this moment,

    Have a nice day,

Heh, if they have info from Fibaro directly, then add 3 months :D. So i believe Q1 2018 is right guess.

No offence to guys in Fibaro, but it is with every of last products (CO, Keyfob).

    I first 'Posted December 1, 2015' .. so I can wait another 6 months or so I guess :)

Doorbird is a bit unreliable in my house for some reason, but it works .. just not brilliantly, looking forward to replacing it with a well integrated option !

Well, time will tell how it will work in the field. But i do not know. In CZ market there will be very few people for going with Fibaro intercom because of price (i heard it will be more expensive then HC2). And since DoorBird does not cost that much, people like it, beause it meets their needs.

And regarding DoorBird. They will have new intercom (maybe end of October or November).

I was all excited for this intercom at first but with the cost of it not too sure now. My front door faces west so it will get 40°C heat on it with the Gold Coast Australian summer. I would assume with the metal housing it would have to get to 60°C and will probably fail

With all of that I don't think a $1000+ intercom is a brilliant idea so I might have to try to hack door bird or ring into my system
